Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The hosts are very nice and always here to help! Also, the location is great, not far by walk from the ferry. You can park for free.

MoldovaAmazing place, very clean and comfortable. The host was so kind and helpful. The location was so quiet and peaceful, especially compared to other "more popular" villages around Como, which was great. It also had connections by bus and ferry to other villages so it was easy for us to see everything we had planned. Both the bus station and ferry dock were close. Highly recommend this place, especially if you want to get away from the crowds. You shouldn't expect a lot of places to eat around here, but there's a pizzeria 5 minutes away which had great food.

TaiwanMany mosquito during the afternoon and evening. The mosquitoes are huge and poisonous need to prepare bug spray. The room could get noisy if other guests decide to be loud.
Its was clean and spacious, our host was very friendly and helpful. Cadennabia is a great location to hop around towns.

New ZealandThe extra paid breakfast was a little disappointing, the bread was a bit dry and the juice was a cordial. And the extra coffee was filter but there was an pod machine in the room. Would have preferred to pay a little bit more and have a nicer breakfast.
We loved everything about this accommodation! The staff were great and very helpful. The hostess was very accommodating asking how everything was and gave us recommendations. The room was well equipped if you wanted to eat in. The outdoor area was lovely and all rooms had a private dining table. But my favourite was having the cats and turtles and dog who were around the place from time to time!

AustraliaBeautiful bed and breakfast with great service. A little hard to get to as the buses are very busy. There is a convenience store, brilliant pizzeria and very easy access to Bellagio and other ferries. Highly recommend especially if you have a car or are happy to walk.

BelgiumAt the beginning, we had a little trouble with the internet connection. It was fixed rather quickly for my husband, but my own phone kept having difficulties with connecting. The connection wasn't very strong. To be honest, you don't need a lot of internet when you are in this beautiful landscape. You just want to enjoy the view.
Of all the villages surrounding the Como Lake, Griante seems like one of the least touristic ones, which was positive for us. The more touristic villages were easily accessible by boat. Our Casa Pini Host gave us a clear written overview with all the boat options. Our B&B was calm. We had a tiny patio where we could hang out in the sunshine with a beautiful view of the mountains and the San Marino church (you can also take a hike to that church, offering you an amazing view of the lake). There were 4 or 5 cats roaming the accommodation. One of them came to say hi from the very first moment we arrived and she was our friend for the entire stay. There was also a cute dog and a couple of turtles. Animal lovers will be charmed by their presence. The host was very kind, helpful and spoke English very well, something that is not always a sure thing in Italy. Our room had a small kitchenette with two pots and a pan, so it worked well for preparing uncomplicated dishes. Around the corner there was a local pizzeria, we went to eat there twice and enjoyed it both times!

GermanyReally nothing major to complain - except for the annoying mosquitos....
A very comfortable and spacious room with a nice garden view. Very clean with basic amenities. Easily accessible by car. By foot is around 15 minutes walk downhill to the pier for ferries to Bellagio - very convenient location. Ferries are operated until almost midnight. Can enjoy a long day exploring Bellagio or Menaggio before heading back. Only the way back from the pier to the lodging was quite dark at some areas at night. But all in all, we felt quite safe. Big bonus points are the resident kitty and three adorable Chihuahuas :)

United KingdomThe lady that runs the place is just amazing. She was so nice and friendly. She recommended to us nice places to have a pizza in Como. Also, we arrived late and she waited for us plus gave us some olive oil, salt and vinegar for our salad. It was really clean inside and it had all the amenities that you would need. There was even a garden table and chairs to have your dinner/breakfast in her garden. There is also a lovely dog on site that is just so friendly and cute. Thank you for making our stay special.

IndiaThe bed was making noise when we were moving in bed. So I woke up multiple times because of the noise.
Nice big room, more like an appartment. In a very quiet ans green area. The town has some restaurants with nice views. In the town itself there is not so much to see. You can take a boot or bus to travel to the other parts of the lake. The owner has a sweet cat and dog.
