The property is magnificent! The view is so spectacular that each evening we had several tourists outside the door photographing and enjoying the view of the Sassi. The apartment itself is cool (most welcome) and comfortable. The beds were on the firm side, which I loved. Even the sofa bed was great. There were lovely welcoming touches with food and drink being left for us by our friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommended.

Adding carpet to the kitchen and living area would significantly enhance the accommodation experience. This addition would not only provide warmth and comfort but also address the issue of cold tiles, ensuring a cozy and inviting atmosphere throughout the space.

The property offers an incredible vista of Matera, giving us a panoramic glimpse of its unique landscape such as waking up to the sunrise over the Sassi.Our host, Cosimo, and his parents, Francesca and Eustachio, were the epitome of hospitality. Cosimo seamlessly coordinated our stay through Booking.com and WhatsApp, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. Despite the language barrier with his parents, their warmth and willingness to assist transcended any communication challenges. From picking us up at the Matera railway station to dropping us off at the accommodation, their attention to detail and genuine care for our comfort were evident. One instance that truly stood out was when we inquired about transportation to the Matera bus station upon checkout. Without hesitation, our host offered to drive us, even at the early hour of 6:30 AM. True to their word, Cosimo's father arrived promptly, allowing us to check out seamlessly and providing a stress-free start to our day. In terms of amenities, the property left nothing to be desired. Our room was well-equipped, and opting for breakfast was a delightful choice. Everything we needed for a satisfying morning meal was readily available, making for a convenient and enjoyable start to our days of exploration. The location of the property was another highlight. Situated close to everything Matera has to offer, we found ourselves within easy reach of its historic sites, charming cafes, and bustling markets. We sincerely thank Cosimo and his family for their warmth and generosity, making our stay in Matera truly unforgettable. For a stay that goes beyond mere accommodation, this is the perfect choice.

The only thing I would suggest, do something with head bad frame. The pillow is felling down true whole on the bad frame. Other than that, it was perfect!

I can't say I disliked anything. My wife and I were very comfortable. The apartment is enough space for two with a living area connected to the kitchen and dining table and a small loft for the bedroom. The bathroom was very clean and hot water was good.

The location was spectacular. It may be the best view from one's front door in all of Matera. The place was very clean. The hosts ensured we had the keys in hand, met us on time, helped us transition both in the apartment and out. Cafe steps from the front door. Fridge was stocked with goodies. The hosts obviously care about this place very much. Very good wifi. I can't recommend this place enough. I will recommend this place over and over again.

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They stocked the refrigerator with milk, juice, eggs beers, butter, waters, etc. They also provided cereal, cookies and other snacks. The view from the apt was out of this world!!!! The room was very spacious and comfortable. They also gave us tips on the restaurants and personally took us to the parking place and brought our luggage to the apt themselves.

The views from the property are one of the best I have experienced in my travelling life! Overwhelming and amazing! The location is ideal - a few minutes walk to the town centre. The apartment itself is cute and very romantic. The owners go out of their way to help and guide. Always available. Will recommend to anyone to go and stay here.

The hosts were very warm and welcoming. The property is in the city centre where tourists are not permitted to drive. The hosts helped organize paid parking closeby and transported our luggage to the property. The property had a beautiful view of the Sassi and had all you would need for amenities. Complimentary continental breakfast items were a very nice gesture. We thank you for the hospitality in the enchanting city of Matera! Highly recommend!

Our hosts were so kind. It felt so nice to have them meet us and care for us so kindly. I appreciated them greatly and it was wonderful to meet this family from such a special place as Matera. The apartment is taken care of well and we were given breakfast foods to make our stay comfortable. I would return. The view was incredible and we loved every direction we walked from the apartment space.

Accommodation was in a great location with an amazing view, very quiet at night and the aircon was a blessing as very hot during our stay. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend this place.

Position in the amazing Sassi with breathtaking views and the well appointed house with totally everything you would think you would need to make your holiday memorable, really a credit to Cosimo and his wonderful caring parents Francesca and Eustachio who looked after us like family from picking us up and dropping us off when we left. Francesca and Eustachio were excellent hosts. They met us outside the city centre and took our luggage in their car. Fresh milk, eggs, bread and other goodies were left for us at the accommodation. Their son Cosimo was also very helpful in recommending restaurants to eat. Property felt like home from home. Perfect location with excellent views.

THE SPECTACULAR VIEW! Casa Vittoria is perfectly located. it was unfortunate that the place next door was being redone on both days we were there with workers starting at 7am. At checkout time, we literally had to squeeze by the dump truck delivering stone in front of our door. Guess it’s the price to pay to stay in a gentrifying area! Close enough to the restaurants and yet still enough removed to be super quiet. We happened to be there during full moon and it was magical! Although there is no private balcony, there is a vestibule large enough for a small table and 2 chairs and we had breakfast and aperitivo there. The apartment is very spacious with a small kitchen and a very nice bathroom. The bed is upstairs. we were lucky that it was not too warm when we were there, because the AC appeared to be shut at the time and not usable. In any case the large screened window provided enough coolness for us. The check-in experience was super smooth. Because it is located in a limited access part of the city, the hosts met up with to drive us to our secure parking spot then Eustachio drove our luggage to the apartment while Francesca walked with us pointing out landmarks etc. They left us with yogurt, 6 eggs, some butter, milk and juice in the fridge and gave us a small bag of a few slices of the local bread. Good thing as there was a long thunderstorm soon after we arrived and we had not yet had lunch! Hearing the thunder echo on the sassi and in the valley was quite an experience!

Casa Vittoria is an amazing little house in a fabulous location. It has been very thoughtfully laid out and very well equipped- it has everything you need. Plenty of breakfast provisions and tea & coffee. Very comfy sitting room, bedroom and a great bathroom. Everywhere is sparklingly clean. Amazing view from the front door & bedroom window. The location couldn't be better - just on the edge of the Sassi Barisano - the perfect location to explore Matera. The hosts are very special. We arrived by car and met our hosts at a pre-arranged location. They guided us to the private parking and then took our luggage to the house. When we left we were collected and taken to our car. Exceptional friendly and kind service - just fabulous. We would love to return sometime. Very highly recommended.

The location with the direct view of the old town of Matera was amazing. The owner were very supportive and picked us up to transport our luggage to the apartment. The apartment itself had everything you need to enjoy your stay. We highly recommend this place !!!

Authentic and comfortable accommodation in a great spot on the edge of the Sassi within easy reach of the main sites and with amazing view from the front porch. Very friendly owners who make arrival, parking your car (if needed) and guidance to the accommodation straight forward and welcoming. The accommodation is spacious with open bedroom provided on a mezzanine level again with great views. The accommodation is located a stones thrown from some nice places to eat and has a small kitchen with all amenities for those wanted to fend for themselves. My favorite part of the accommodation was a small porch area as you enter which has room to house a small table for two which provides a lovely sunny spot during the day and an amazing spot to have a glass of wine and watch the Sassi begin to light up in the evening before you stroll to dinner.
