We especially liked the friendliness of the staff, everybody was ever so nice, they had a lot of useful information about the area, places to visit, restaurant recommendations etc. We had a very spacious suite wich came with a beautiful modern bathroom. During our last visit in Matera we stayed in a cave hotel where our room was humid and cold. We therefore opted for a comfortable hotel room with a well working central heating. Everything was impeccably clean. The breakfast had a very good choice of sweet and savoury items. We did not have the time to use the spa facilities, but maybe another time. The hotel has a parking just outside in the courtyard and two elevators for easy luggage transport. This would certainly be the hotel of our choice for a next visit to Matera.

Found some loose hairs and a fingernail/toenail clipping on the floor. Besides that, the room was spotless as well as bathroom!

The breakfast here was awesome! Everything in my room was pretty clean, and the balcony was a treat. Staff very friendly! About a 10 minute drive from a parking garage where you can park and then walk down into Matera and you can park for free on the hotel property. Definitely an ideal way to see Matera so you’re not driving down all the tiny narrow roads in the city.

Location: Easy to find and park if you have a car and you will need a car to get to old town.

We liked easily accessible location near the freeway and one mile from the center of town. Staff was so wonderful and so kind to the children. Super clean and wonderful

Although near a busy corner you don’t notice it in the room or lovely garden so don’t let that put you off. You ideally need a car for Matera but can park for free outside the town and walk in

We were a little disappointed that although the description in the listing includes a kitchenette this feature has yet to be implemented but believe this is being planned for future.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful as well as being professional. We liked the breakfast and the location was very close to Matera whilst having the advantage of being a quiet haven just outside the centre. It was also easy to find from the motorway.

(approx 4 km). easy parking in the city. a taxi costs 15 euro, but be careful that at night is difficult to find one to return t too the hotel
