How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Room 408 I reported the air-conditioning, which simply did not work. Reception told me it was controlled locally. After a brief discussion I was told someone would come to look at it but never did. It was so hot we had to sleep with the windows open which meant lots of outside noise, and I mean alot.
Price was the best point

The hotel was listed as having aircon, but it did not work, overall rooms could do with a deeper better clean. if the hotel was cleaner it would make a big difference, overall it's a nice place that needs a little TLC.
The staff were great and could not do enough for you, The location was great with lots of good places to eat and relax in the area, plus it was close to the train station. the hotel overall had a great feel and atmosphere. and it was easy to walk to the sights of Rome from here.

No breakfast. No water kettle for tea. No knife or forks. Bed is very small like a dormitory. Shower is weak.
Location is the only good thing

No breakfast. The carpet in room was so old and dirty. Some rooms has been remodeled but we couldn't get them. The water in bath was cold and one day no water. We found out faucet needed to change. It seems nobody checks them before guests arrive. Sheets during our stay never changed only the staff make the bed. Limited soap!!

My room door was very flimsy. Didn’t need the key to enter it. Staff were efficient but stone faced. Not particularly friendly.

During our first stay for five days, they charged us extra for one person although our booking had been for one double room & one triple room. We have just arrived for the second time today to stay for 4 days, and the same staff member against the advice of her colleagues is again insisting that we pay extra again our booking being for a double & a triple room. We have found this to be very rude & unfair especially when none of the hotels in florence (Rex) & in Venice (Nazionale) demanded any extra payment for same kind of booking.

All the amenities were not actually available. No breakfast room, no lounge. Nothing. Also, the airport shuttle option they list on their site means you can pay €60 for the shuttle, not that THEY provide one. They put us in a room with no ventilation. They moved us to a smaller room and gave my friend a hassle about refunding her the difference. I know the pandemic was rough on everyone and maybe in a year they will have things fixed but for now, I'd skip this place unless convenience to the train station is top on your list.

The bed was hard shower was filthy dirty a client that came before me didn’t have a toilet seat in his room and was complaining and I told him he had to wait to the next day definitely definitely not a four-star hotels

It worked for us (short stay) but facilities, beyond aesthetics, require some maintenance or renewal (among other minor things... noisy AC, poorly functioning shower, no working telephone to talk to reception).

I arrived at night. The area feels a little unsafe at night when everything is closed and all the garbage is placed on the streets to be collected. Though this is more an Italian problem rather than hotel problem.
The location near the main railway station is very good. There are restaurants and other services nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They willingly storaged my luggage after checking out.

All went well
Good hotel with excellent value for money. Convenient for Termini station and metro, clean, polite and courteous staff. Possible to leave luggage upon early arrival on the check in day and at the check out. The vending machines are very useful, not to mention the panoramic lounge they have!
