Having more chairs and a table on the balcony would have been nice for sitting and enjoying the mountain view, but this was just a very minor issue.

Superb views, cosy rustic interior but with a bathroom that was nonetheless reasonably modern. Staff were very welcoming.

The parking was free. We had 2 nights with a week apart and they let us park our car for the time between Also they kept our luggage for that period. The staff was helpful and eager to help. The location was pretty close to center. The breakfast was great.

The room was clean and in a good size. The bathroom was new. We got a back room which was very quiet and had a view to the river. Free parking was available just in front of the hotel. We asked for a packed Breakfast and our request was fulfilled. The hotel is within a walking distance to the town center (Corso Italia). Covid-19 PCR tests (molecular test) can be done in Cortina - 24 hours for the results and 87 euro. See lifebrain site (need to schedule a meeting).

Our room had timber floors and ceilings which meant that you could hear the people on the floor above walking about when they came back late at night. Maybe they had a pet elephant! Our main concern was the poor instructions on how to exit the property in the event of a fire. We were there on a photography trip which meant that we were leaving the building several hours before sunrise. We were horrified to find that the front door was padlocked and we couldn't get out. It took several minutes of walking around in the dark before we found an open door.

Breakfast was fantastic. The freshly baked bread was delicious. The woman that was working in the breakfast room was incredibly helpful. The young woman that processed our check-in was extremely friendly and helpful.

Amazing staff. One evening I didn't have the energy to go for dinner (although many restaurants very close walking distance), and the hosts boiled me some eggs to fill me up. Great location: walking distance to many great restaurants, shopping and town....and the view was amazing.

Cons: Short walk to downtown (around 10 minutes, not a serious issue), loud traffic during daytime but peaceful and quiet at night.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Corona for four nights in September. It was a great stay. This is a family owned and operated hotel, which gives it a personal feel. Steve, Mary and Ferdi were fantastic hosts, always willing to help and be helpful. Steve’s recommendations for local activities were great. Our room was next to an extremely busy road and therefore was very noisy. We couldn’t sleep particularly well due to this and the frequent Italian sports car didn’t help the already noisy traffic congestion… There was no restaurant in the hotel which was disappointing. In addition, there was no formal bar area. You had to ask a receptionist for assistance at the bar which was not practical. In general, for the high price we paid it was not considered good value for money for us.

Hotel Corona was a lovely building, with friendly staff and in a reasonably central location which was easy to walk into town. The breakfast was good with a buffet style restaurant. The fresh cakes were nice.

This was my second stay here. Stefano is a gracious host. It was quiet and comfortable and clean with great views of the mountains. The breakfast is better than that of hotel chains many times its size; e.g., eggs are made to order. They did my laundry for €10. And Stefano always has good suggestions about where to go, what to do.
