How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The sound insulation in Room 216 was not great and we had a lot of disturbance overnight from the restaurants/bars closing to refuse collectors turning up at 3 to 4 a.m. and making quite a noise whilst emptying bins.
Sebastiano and the other staff at reception plus the cleaners and dining room staff were excellent and helped in every way they could. the room was comfortable and clean, the beds were made daily. The hotel location was fine with an easy walk to the Pantheon, Piazza Norvano and the Campo di Fiori market, there was a good selection of bars and restaurants close by.

Hello Please can I say a big thanks to everyone at the Hotel Della Torre Argentina for making our stay at your hotel so special for Mr Paul Lynch’s 60th birthday. For the reception staff who have helped us Friday night with recommendations (lovely man) for eating, for Elodie on Saturday going above and beyond to book us in at the Colesseo. For the chefs for this mornings cake and for the 2 young waiters presenting Paul with this at breakfast. And for the golden heart balloons and bottle of champagne to come back to this afternoon. And to the lady with our new instructions/map to post our European post cards. You’ve all been amazing. Many thanks Karen and Paul

Elevators size are a bit small
This hotel located in the best location you can manage for your trip. All the places you want to see in Rome are in walking distance. Staff are very friendly especially Francesco which is at front desk. Very nice breakfast in regarding the money you spent. The only thing I can complain is that the elevators are very small.

The staff were the best I’ve ever interacted with in my humble hotels experience, very friendly, helpful and positive. The location was exceptionally great. Usually when I travel I need to plan for everything, otherwise the trip might not be enjoyable, but Rome and the location of our hotel was the best choice. No awkward feelings, again very welcoming staff, the two ladies in the reception and the two gentlemen. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and flexible, never seen someone dedicated to what he is doing like the young lady. It was a wonderful experience, and I hope I will repeat it.

We had a great time in this hotel. The location is perfect, close to the main attractions that can be reached by walk. The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was fine, fresh and tasty.

Better solutions in regard to the sound insulation are badly needed, both from inside and outside noise.

The only downside was the sound, we could hear everything from the road outside (which is a very busy road) and from the other rooms. For example next room from us there was a family with a baby which was crying from 7am so we had to wale up also at that time.
The hotel is situated in a perfect location, it’s literally 3 minutes walking from the Pantheon and 10 minutes from Fontana di Trevi. Also the staff was great and super helpful. We asked for some gluten-free options and they did. Breakfast had everything needed.

The hairdryer was not working well, other than that everything was perfect!
Location was perfect right next to the station and walking distance from everything. The breakfast has a lot of variety and was delegated, they celebrated my birthday in the breakfast room. The single room was spacious considered to the other options I have checked
