Very attentive wonderful people! Our stay was like a piece of heaven on Earth. The breakfast was nice and the place clean and comfortable. We had sunbeds on our balcony/terrace. The beach really close, and some wonderful restaurants nearby! The garden had amazing views, flowers and kitties. Going up and down the stairs its worth it but there are shortcuts with less stairs too, just ask the hosts. ♡ Thank you so much, we're looking forward to stay with you some other time soon!

The view from our balcony and the garden every morning for breakfast was incredible. The staff were all excellent and made us feel right at home. Watching the two cats play around in the sun with the ocean view and a coffee really made our visit special.

Property could have a more updated bathrooms and better breakfast

Property was very well situated . It’s down , close to the beach and it’s easy to reach the main beach and attractions. Our room had a breathtaking view and the room and bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful

The ONLY thing we didn't like so much was the rather out-dated hairdryer in the bathroom, but this is a tiny thing amongst a wonderful trip!

We absolutely loved our time in Positano and at Hotel Dormora Fornillo! It's hard to decide what was the best part! Firstly, it has to be the super friendly and helpful staff. Tiziana was so attentive with our breakfast and remembering the things we liked over the 4 days, whilst also suggesting things we could try. Franko was so sweet from start to finish, suggesting the best ways to walk around and the best restaurants in Positano - and we can vouch for these as we tried every single one! He also carried our bags up to the road on the last day and we found him very very kind. Secondly, it has to be the view from our room - this was spectacular and I am so glad we opted for the sea view! :) There were plenty of steps but we actually found it very manageable given we could always choose to take the slightly longer but windy road back up to our hotel rather than the steep steps. Overall, a wonderful experience and we'd love to return! Thanks Hotel Dimora Fornillo!

The staff was super kind. The view from the room is amazing. The room terrace was super spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast at the garden (which has also an incredible view) was a very nice touch

The are a lot of steps so this is just a warning for people to be prepared for that! That’s the whole city honestly but just for a note.

To get to the property it is a bit of a hike, I did not mind, but for some it may be difficult.

Obviously there are steps.....many, many steps. It's just part of the adventure but needs to be taken into account. There is a short walk from the drop off point to the hotel so it would be sensible not to go overloaded with bags. However, the hotel did bring our bags back up to the pick up point for us. I personally would have liked coffee making facilities in the room. The hair dryer isn't very powerful.

The view from our room (57) was absolutely amazing. The room was spacious with a large terrace which had two sun loungers & an elegant table and chairs. The room also has a mini fridge. Breakfast was offered in the garden overlooking the bay and we were offered a good selection. There is a part private pathway and gate down to the beach, which cuts out a little of the 'hike'.

The narrow stairway near the hotel made it difficult to get our bags up and down to the street. Luckily they have a bellboy who helps with this!

Beautiful terrace views, wonderful accommodating staff and yummy breakfast options. Also close to the beach and town for shopping and restaurants.

Location and host! Our host was awesome, she made reservations for us on restaurants she recommended and she nailed them! Super friendly and great service. Rooms are very clean and location is a nice walk to the center of Positano!

We found the facilities to be a bit outdated. The bed was quite uncomfortable and firm with thin blankets and pillows. The shower was good enough, but could probably use a good deep clean. The walls appeared to have old peeling paint. Another thing to consider- but we knew this before we booked- is the number of steps it takes to get to the hotel- just something to consider as it was quite tiring!

We mostly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Dimora Fornillo. We were grateful to have found a spot in Positano that was more reasonably priced compared to other nearby hotels. We loved the charming decor and the staff were very sweet and accommodating. The staff were great with their communication before our arrival, offering to help arrange excursions, restaurant reservations, and porter services for our luggage. Our room was quite spacious and had a door to the back terrace that had an amazing view of the coast- one of the mornings we had breakfast outside and it was gorgeous!

This hotel was beautiful and our favourite on the Amalfi Coast. The location means there is beautiful views in every direction and there is a beautiful garden to sit and enjoy them. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made a beautiful breakfast too! The hotel is close enough to enjoy a swim at Fornillo beach which we did every morning before breakfast. We will definitely be back!

The shower was a bit small and the internet wouldn’t reach our bedroom mostly where the bed was. Apart from that the stay was great

Shower is a little small

The property is located about midway up the hill which was good. 300 steps down to the beach which was manageable and about 200 steps to the road. The staff were helpful and kind. Breakfast was moderate but enough.

The stairs!! But… if you’re coming to Positano… start stair training now. 150 steps down from the road and 450 steps down the beach from the hotel…not for the faint hearted!!

The Service! Especially Tiziana, was outstanding, from organising porters to directions, reservations etc. Get in touch with these guys before booking Capri Tours and more. The View is sensational and the room is authentic!

The location was very good, the balcony view is amazing. The room was a nice size. The bed was comfy and the air conditioner felt really nice. Beautiful tile in thr bathroom.
