Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The hotel was absolutely lovely and cozy. Our room was spotless, with a breathtaking view of the sea, and has everything we could possibly need. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We adored every member of the team, with special gratitude to Tina and Mauro. The location was simply the best, just an 18-20 minute walk from downtown. The walk was scenic, offering sea view, cliffs and mountain views, fragrant lemon gardens, and lots of shops along the way. We always preferred to walk back to the hotel instead of taking a taxi. Breakfast was good with many sweet and savory treats, made even more enjoyable by Tina's incredible warmth. If we ever find ourselves in Sorrento again, Helios Hotel will surely be our top choice for accommodation.

This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel, but this time we brought friends. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The location of the hotel is excellent with great views of Sorrento. There is a good choice for breakfast, hot and cold buffet and the food is excellent.

United StatesThe delicious breakfast buffet on the patio overlooking the bay with a view of Mt Vesuvius is my favorite part of the day.
Stunningly beautiful and perfectly located two minutes away from downtown Sorrento offering the peace of being away from the hustle & bustle but not far enough that you’ll miss out anything.

North MacedoniaI recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I cannot praise it enough. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by lovely staff members who were not only helpful but also incredibly friendly. Their warm welcome set the tone for a fantastic stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. Additionally, the room offered a beautiful view, allowing me to enjoy the surroundings and soak in the atmosphere of the city. It was a delightful experience to wake up to such a picturesque sight each morning. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The friendly and helpful staff, along with the fantastic pool and convenient location, made our stay truly memorable. We felt well taken care of and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We are already looking forward to returning in the future. If you're searching for a hotel with outstanding hospitality and a prime location, this is definitely the place to be.:))

The rooftop terrace and pool were amazing! The staff were all top notch, friendly, helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was lovely. I would totally stay here again. Quick walk/scooter into central Sorrento, but far enough out of the fray to have a beautiful view and relaxing vibe

Turkeywe needed 5-8 min drive with taxi to go to the marina or come back from the center. it would be perfect if we could walk to/from the hotel. but taxis were so easy to find so it was no problem to us.
First of all, even before our trip to Italy began, they were very helpful to us in terms of helping us with our dinner reservations etc. we always received prompt email replies which was very comforting. During our stay at Helios, everything was great. clean, comfortable, wonderful view, great breakfast, helpful staff in every way. They were very warm and welcoming which made the hotel feel very cozy to us.

A really lovely building with clean, spacious rooms and an unexpected view of mt Vesuvius. Great roof terrace for afternoon drinks and sunbathing. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from town up a gentle slope which gives you amazing views across the bay and means the property is quiet at night which was great.

United StatesThe only things that will keep me from ever staying in this hotel again are the robbery of the taxi drivers to get us here from half a mile away and the nerve wracking trek into town and back with or without sidewalk. The walk itself is not a difficult one at all. I think the drivers are used to avoiding pedestrians and there were a lot of people making the trek back and forth every day. I think most people are not as nervous as I am about this kind of stuff so don’t let that stop you from enjoying this WONDERFUL hotel.
This is a SUPER cute boutique hotel. Front desk staff, greatly helpful and friendly. All the staff we encountered actually were ver friendly. The rooms are super nice and all have an AMAZING view. At least the ones we had. We had unit 11 which is on the bottom floor of 3. Our adult son had unit 6 which was a floor up and one room over from ours. He had a small balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy. Reception is on top floor as you come in. We had a terrace with a table and chairs, a tub, but it’s like a bathtub with Jets so you have to fill it up yourself, we didn’t and a big round lounger sofa. There is also a safe in the room and a mini fridge. Our room was right next to the breakfast area. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, grilled veggies like eggplant, zucchini, carrots and red peppers. Also several quiche type foods. I’m dairy free so I couldn’t try them but they looked delicious! There was sliced lunch meats and butter lettuce and breads and marmalade and cereals and fresh fruits. Actually quite a lot of options including fresh juices and milk. ALSO, Pietro let us know that THREE of the desserts/pastries (there were a LOT) a lemon type cake, a dark chocolate one, and a brown looking one that had pistachios involved (all were yum) were gluten free and also the coconut macaroons and some other cookies or “biscuits”, but they had a little butter so I could not try them. I was able to order a latte with almond milk that was UNSWEETENED! WHY can’t they seem to have unsweetened non-dairy milks at coffee shops in Houston??? So to recap, breakfast was fabulous! The day we got rained out we skipped dinner. There is no restaurant in the hotel and we didn’t want to walk into town in the dark and rain to eat. By the time we decided to see if we could maybe eat at the hotel restaurant next door, it was almost 9pm (when the rest of the non-U.S. world seems to start their dinner) and they said “NO WAY! There will be no tables available!
