There was no hot water for a little while, but this was just a transient issue that was fixed soon.

Our room was very nice, and the location of the hotel is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We used their valet service since there is no parking in this central location, and this worked very well for us.

The Wi-Fi was very intermittent and did not work in most parts of the room. Breakfast was ok if you got down at the start but things not replenished later and very limited if you are gluten free.

Our room was very nice and well furnished however considering we had a superior room the bathroom was not good, shower very small and not clean with mould on walls and no facility to place soap and shampoo.

We had requested twin beds and the room had been made up as a single bed - however staff were very helpful and quickly remade them as twin beds. The beds were not as firm as they could have been - too soft for comfort.

The bathroom is very tiny compared to the size of the room and the shower is very small with an uncomfortable door which you could only unfold from the outside even when you are in the shower The valet parking the hotel recommends via a third party is a good service but they only wanted cash without a receipt or invoice which when asked it was flagged as something I did not request and should be raised with the third party director (?) (whilst it should be the way it works when you pay for transactions everywhere!) The room door is very thin with a gap at the bottom which makes all the noise from people talking or leaving their rooms for breakfast getting into your room and waking you up super early

Our sink was clogged for three days and there was no wifi in the room for the entire stay. After alerting the staff multiple times, they would simply write the problem down and see what they could do about it.. we would’ve expected them to come and check it out themselves, which they only did after the third day. This meant we had to brush our teeth and do our toiletries out of the bidet.. not a nice experience. As for the wifi, our room was clearly out of range for their wifi box, but each member of staff that we alerted this about seemed to hear about it for the first time… or at least acted like it. It’s not the end of the world to not have Wifi, but I would’ve appreciated a bit of honesty. They could have just said that there was no wifi in that room (207).

The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of Ortigia, on a lovely, quiet street, and our room had two nice balconies. The room was clean, the bed was decent and the AC was working. The breakfast was decent, and the breakfast lady was adorable.
