Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaOur room was on the ground floor and next to the dining area, so in the morning it can be a little noisy.
Breakfast was good. We had to decide the day before what we wanted. The hotel is just next to the bus stop that takes you to Piazale Roma, in Venice. Also the hotel is next to Mestre Historical Centre, which is really nice. And the personal was really nice & helpful.

Estonia- As others noted, furnishings are dated and a bit nicked up over the years. Except for our bathroom. But the room is clean. - Cups for brushing teeth aren’t provided. - Bidet hose was leaky. - Can hear people through walls and floors- but luckily our neighbors weren’t late night party people. - Room was set up for one person, not two- as was instructed in reservation. I had to get additional towels and toiletries from housekeeping. Not a huge trouble, but I had the reservation for months so I didn’t think it would be wrong right off the bat.
- It’s at a super convenient location to get to the islands of Venice b/c the #2 bus stops right in front. It’s one of the first stops on the outbound route, so you are almost guaranteed a seat before it proceeds through the rest of Mestre (and the bus quickly becomes packed like sardines). Also being dropped off right in front of your hotel is a godsend after walking all day. - Rooms have a mini fridge where you can keep drinks and snacks. - If you ask, they will provide you with a kettle and coffee cups. Shops are relatively close, and we bought instant coffee, milk and instant noodles in a cup. We were there three nights and it’s so useful when you need quick caffeine or a warm snack. - Updated bathroom with good lighting and second magnifying mirror. Good for doing makeup or shaving. - Mestre’s old town is around the corner. Older architecture and plazas filled with restaurants, bars and shops. Very nice to explore in the evenings.

RomaniaWe had room nr. 1, next to a room where they store their plates and glasses. It was not very well isolated, so every morning we were waked up by the noise.
Very nice and warm people, nice and cosy location.

United KingdomRoom seemed quite small. Bathroom same. Having a shower is a bit of a struggle as the water splashes everywhere and the shower curtain do not help much. Mini fridge wasn't working. TV old and not smart. Overall is an old style hotel, a bit pricey if you look at comfort vs cost.
Cosy hotel in heart of Mestre ,easy connection to Venice ,bus stop in front of the hotel and ticket €3/person round trip. Museum, bar , restaurants are at short walking distance. The staff was absolutely lovely, organised and helpful. Breakfast was very good and served direct to the table upon your choices of food. We had a box garage for our car €10/day,but you can park for free save availability ,as behind the hotel there is a small parking space. Thank you for the goody bag prepped for us on our very early departure.

United KingdomThe bed wasn't comfortable at all. also, the bathroom was to small and water from the shower goes in all bathroom floor.
the staff were really caring with an excellent customer service. Location is also very good with bus to Venezia each 10 min and 15 min journey only.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast was good, but the not self-service system was not very well thought out. I felt awkward asking for more of anything if I wanted more. Self-service breakfast would make much more sense and would be more comfortable for the guests, I believe.
The hotel is very well-located. The center of Mestre is just a short walk away and the bus to the historical center of Venice is literally in front of the hotel. You can also get bus or day tickets right at the reception. Rooms are very basic and could use some updating but they will do.

RomaniaWe did not like the room. It was too dark and it was not a welcoming room. The pillows were very firm/hard and I couldn't sleep well. The bathroom was small and with a sliding door. I was expecting a room from what I seen in the pictures from booking, but this room was not in the pictures at all.
Location, breakfast, staff.

RomaniaGood breakfast, very helpful stuff, best coffee, great service. They helped us with the tickets for transportation and a lot of information. They helped us to check in before the schedule. It was fantastic. We loved the place, close to public transportation (the bus stop is in front off the hotel).

SerbiaSmall, distastefully furnished room, old hotel in need of a refurb. If you find better rated place at a similar price take it instead.
Good price considering it's proximity to Venice. Decent breakfast. Staff. Existance of parking but very small (up to 6 cars) and they have to re-park your car as guests leave/come.

IsraelThe hotel itself is very old and tired, small rooms and bathrooms, and uncomfortable beds.
The location is great, there's a bus station in front of the hotel with a direct line to Piazza Roma, Venice, line 2.

IrelandLocation perfect, right beside historic centre of Mestre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was as expected, very comfortable, good bed, room cleaned and towels replaced daily. Mini fridge in room. Quiet location for sleeping at night. Hotel sold bus tickets (€1.50) for the No 2 bus which was right outside the door and took you straight to historic Venice. Approx15/20 mins drive and buses came every 15 mins daily, every 30 mins on Sunday.
