Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Very enjoyable stay. The hotel is very comfortable but suffers a bit from traffic noise.

NetherlandsHotel is a bit far from city center. It wouldn't be a problem normally but the traffic is busy and it takes almost 30 minutes to get from city to hotel. They don't have coffee machine or electric kettle in room, and neither is it available in the lobby or bar.
Good size of the room. Neat and clean. Very good breakfast.

ItalyOver night, noises coming from the street were pretty loud, and the room itself *vibrated* when especially heavy or fast vehicles passed. Despite a fantastic bed, I could not sleep.
The room was huge and very comfortable, also considering the price. Personnel was very friendly and helpful.

ItalyAs mentioned above, the hotel is on a busy street which makes it tricky to stop your car. You have to unload baggage on a little alleyway off to side of hotel. Honestly, we did not hear traffic from our room and the incredible view overlooking the city center, the hillside and the bay was lovely.
We really liked everything about the hotel. We were in Naples mostly on business. The staff was incredibly accommodating, called us a taxi and supplied us with an iron. The room was incredibly clean though simple and had a great view. I had asked for a higher floor room that was next a rooftop terrace that felt private and had a great view. The only downside: you can't stop in front of the hotel with the car given that it is on a very busy street. Breakfast was abundant and tasty. We'll definitely return in the future - and probably pay for overnight parking.

FinlandThe bathtub was not working and the facilities were quite old. Also, the location is not the best one: The public transportation was very difficult, and it is relatively far from the city. The main options is to catch a taxi or to walk. The walk to the nearest metro station is about 25 min, but the hotel is in the top of a very stiff hill: returning to there was always very difficult.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Breakfast was very nice and more than adequate. Lots of selection. The room was spacious enough and accomodated our entire family although one of our children expressed concern with the bed they were in...they said it didn't have enough support. It was a little out of the way since we were spending a lot of time down town and needed to get ubers back and forth but we only needed it for one night and it served it's purpose well.

United KingdomThe amount of rubbish outside, I realise does not belong to hotel but feel they should clear the rubbish that stacks up at street side, especially behind railings by closed side door. Naples seem a to shove a big rubbish problem, inside hotel very clean but feel outside should be too

ItalyThe hotel was fine, so my comment is about the access to the hotel, since the sidewalk is very narrow and immediately close to the street limiting a safe walk and not so easy with luggages.

United StatesThe location and parking are horrible. The neighborhood in general does not look safe, though we had no problems. The door to the hotel is 2 feet from a busy street and you have to step into the street to get around the planters by the door to go anywhere. Parking is a small lot/garage around the corner. If you miss the garage or hotel, which is easy to do, you will go a LONG way either up hill or down hill to even have the opportunity to turn around and try again. No one in the garage speaks English so transacting can be difficult. The room was average at best...oddly placed wall decorations, very flat, dull color, flat, dull bed covers. Beds were hard and low (something that seems common). The hotel walls are thin and there times when it was very noisy. The pictures in the listing reflect what is there but I did not feel like I was in that hotel at all. One of the more disappointing stays on this trip.
The hotel staff was wonderful. They helped us get luggage out of the car...necessary because of other issues discussed below. The welcome was friendly. There is a bus stop on the corner and one across the street that offer good service to all the areas of town. Know that if you plan to visit the Capodimonte Museum, while it looks close it is a couple of bus stops and/or a good walked up a steep hill across the street from the hotel. The Catacombs, on the other hand, are right beside the hotel, just walked around the wall. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices of yummy foods and drinks.
