US style hotel, 70s look and feel, but comfortable and clean with own pool and beach.

There was nothing that we did not like.

We liked everything. The view of the sea, from the balcony was beautiful. The room was spotlessly clean and bright and the breakfast was the best breakfast we had in our three weeks in Italy.

Not much. Pool area pretty half-hearted. That’s the worst I can say.

People on reception were fantastic. This was a forced stopover for me but I’d go back any time. Dated but in a ‘growing old gracefully’ way. Very friendly obliging staff. There is a beach club very nearby which was also good.

De Rose is a beautiful ‘70s resort with an authentic luxury aesthetic that my (younger) generation is hungry for. Beautifully furnished room with a renovated bathroom. The swimming pool is huge and has nice views. The staff was attentive. The private beach area is great and has a bar.

Very nice hotel next to the sea. The rooms are clean, overlooking the sea and the garden. It is very pleasant to spend time on the balcony. Breakfast is tasty, varied. Fresh pastries are served. Overall we recommend the hotel.

A really beautiful location in Scalea. Staff is professional and the view from our room is breathtaking! We were also allowed to get an Umbrella at the beach which was included in the room price! Really nice experience!

The check in time is 4 pm which is not great if you are travelling on a daily basis.

Great swimming pool with a wonderfull view. Staff where very friendly and it had a private beach area which was excellent for drinks and food. Breakfast was also really good with lots of choice.

These are some small things, just in order to hotel will be absolutely perfect. Everything was wonderful and I don't have any bad remarks. 1. exit and return from the beach. Perhaps you should think about some kind of electronic key , in order not to ring every time the bell 2. The water in the pool was hot. Of course, in the current weather conditions this is understandable, but perhaps there are some options 3. not enough hooks for towels and shelves for toiletries in the bathroom

breakfast- super. I read in previous reviews about coffee from the machine, this is not true. Breakfast is both salty and sweet, coffee is brought by the waiter, delicious croissants, there are yoghurts, a lot of fruits. Perhaps after 09:30 the choice becomes smaller, but not critical beach- umbrellas and sunbeds included in the price, beach is clean, has excellent entrance to the sea - small pebbles, immediately deep, which is great for someone who likes to swim. The sea is clear, cooling, despite the crazy hot weather. excellent cocktails in pool area and, despite the fact that the hotel is full, you can always find a place near the pool, as well as on the beach enough places nearby and in city center where you can have lunch and dinner. You can order lunch at the bar on hotel beach, which is very convenient. But if you don't like the menu, then there's a great selection of other places around the corner double room is not big, but there is enough space for 2 people, everything is neat, technically and visually in good condition, clean , room has spacious bathroom

Nothing bad

Spacious room, wonderful view from the terrace/balcony. Close to the beach and all restaurants. One of the best locations in Scalea, good parking space. Nice personnel/staff!

The female at the reception was not at all welcoming. She should change professions, she should not be working in hospitality. I would definitely return if she is not working.

Breakfast area did not feel as cosy as the rest of the hotel.

Wonderful location with beach access. The hotel is charming, joining vintage furniture and modern comfort. Could be the location of a movie set. We looooooved the 70s vibes. Pool area was my favourite.
