As other reviewers have commented a negative has to be absence of any tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom which are standard in most hotels. We also found the Reception staff quite stern in comparison to the cheerful porter or helpful breakfast lady.

Good hotel in a great location if you want to be close to the train station like us. Room was very good size with table and chairs too. After asking the breakfast lady if they had gluten free bread, she went to a cupboard & filled plate with bread, madeleine type cakes & crackers all of which were gluten free. They have a secure luggage room.

The only thing that the hotel could improve was to have coffee in the room. But they made up for it with the cappuccino for breakfast.

This was the first place we stayed in Italy, so we had nothing else to compare within Italy. The room was big, and the check-in was easy. The room had an ornate feel to it. We really enjoyed staying in the room. The elevators were fast! The breakfast was amazing! The must try for me were pistachio and marmalade croissants. I had multiple of those every morning! The cappuccino is to die for! The place was within walking distance of the Repubblica metro station. So getting around was very easy. We took the day pass and went to the Duomo (two stops), and the last supper was close by as well. The restaurant that the hotel recommended had amazing pizza and Pesto pasta. We ate there twice, which made the owner and the wait staff happy because they recognized us the second day!

Air con in room didn’t work and no extraction fan in bathroom. Shower had part of door seal missing so some water escaped onto floor. Room was therefore quite hot and bathroom steamy from shower. Roof terrace was closed which was disappointing.

Close to train station and metro. Room was available early which helped us when dropping bags off early. Room was clean. Breakfast was okay.

Front desk staff were a little brusque, and a bit unkowlegeable: e.g. directed me to a tobacco shop for Metro tickets, but tickets sold at stations. Rooms could use some details, like drink glasses or cups.

The strongest impression is the discomfort with the worker at the reception. The workers at the reception are mostly business-like and helpful, but one worker - an elderly lady is very rude and unpleasant, she really has no knowledge or skills to work with hotel guests. We got a room with a classic French bed, although the description said - a large bed. Then, we had a problem with the shower in the bathroom, they tried to convince us that it was nothing, however, at our insistence, they changed our room and we got an excellent room with a large double bed, as we originally expected, thanking the gentleman at the reception.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The breakfast is good, but the basics are often missing (e.g. eggs, bacon, bread, croissant, yogurt) and the staff does not monitor whether they need to add something, but reacts only when the guest asks.

I don't think I can think of anything!

The location is great, walking distance from the central station and the metro is only couple minutes walk around the corner. The rooms were big and spacious with a very large comfortable bed. Everything was clean. The breakfast was incredible with a great amount of choice. The staff were really accommodating and helpful when asked if we could leave our bags before and after our stay. Would happily recommend staying here and if I am back in Milan I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel may use a little renovation.

The location was excellent, near the train station and many good restaurants. The place was clean and the staff wonderful. The breakfast was very good and filling.

Rubber scrambled eggs…. The only flaw. And irons are not permitted!?!? Fire hazard…

Rooms are a good size, not huge but most have a balcony. Breakfast was an outragous display of pastries and breakfast items hot offering only eggs, vienna sausage and that funny undercooked bacon that gets burned on the edges.. cold cuts with lots of prosciutto, fruit yougurt, cereals and so, so much more. We often chose to eat dinner, as it was as good as the restaurants around, alway a buffet with pre order primi and secondi. I think that I put on 10 pounds/ 4 kilos !!! The staff are great in a classic family owned and family friendly hotel.. it is 4 minutes to the beach and also has a huge pool. Great Value
