Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThis was the best host ever we’ve experienced! The entire family was very kind, friendly and helpful. When we took the bus to the place, we passed our stop as the driver may not have understood us due to the language barrier and didn’t announce the stop. The family came to pick us up from where the bus driver dropped us off. We felt very welcomed. Ana and Carmine provided us with helpful information about the area, transportations, top attractions. We enjoyed the Almafi coast a lot within the limited time. We also changed our trip routing from Almafi to Florence as per their suggestions which saved us time. Very nice house, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, very quiet area. Amazing breakfast, lots of choices, very fresh and tasty!😋 We were also able to have early breakfast before 8am on the last day as we had to leave early to catch the bus and the train. We really appreciated it. The house was not located in the town center of Almafi. But the bus stop was just about 100 meters away. We liked the bus ride along the beautiful coast line. There was a pizzeria right at the bus stop. Excellent pizza for a good price! We simply loved everything during our stay!

United KingdomThe room was spot on, the balcony/terrace was amazing and the peaceful location was perfectly situated to explore the entire Amalfi coast. Furthermore, the hospitality was class from start to finish; the family welcomed us warmly and gave us lots of local, invaluable insight throughout our stay - in addition to providing sweet breakfasts, with freshly baked cakes that were delicious! Grazie mille!

AustriaOne of a kind, simply unbelievable! If I could give more points I would. This is coming home. This is a family visit. This is like in the sappy movies where you are immediately part of the family, but it is reality. Maria Grazia and her Family go above and beyond for their guests. They are genuine, kind and generous. I had issues with the bus and they came and picked me up. They offered my dinner, which was not included. Then I got sick and they helped me and went to the pharmacy. This place is well kept, lovely and comfortable decorated. The room is spacious, the bathroom as well. My room had a big out door area. It is super quite and close to a lot of places. Also good by public transport.

The most generous and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast made by host. We were welcomed with home made biscuits and their own wine as well. Restaurant a few steps away. Bus stop out front. Avoid the chaos and noise of Amalfi and stay here.

Our two nights' stay in "Il ritrovo delle Volpi" made a perfect start to our Italian vacation. The friendly and helpful hosts went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, and we were treated like family. We will remember the delicious breakfast for a long time, and we were introduced to the beauty of the Agerola area through our stay. We highly recommend this place!

From the first second to the last everything was simply fantastic. Very clean and beautiful friendly place to stay. The whole family was so helpful and so kind. Will definitely come back. It was really easy to get to the Amalfi centre from the hotel as the bus stop is just in front of the place and there are lots of buses . For the price it was a fantastic place to stay. And of course the homemade cakes is to die for...😍😍😍

GermanyWe felt really welcome at your place. The Grandma and her family are so helpful and really really kind. They helped us to organise things we want to see, recommend good places and also gave us short lifts with their car. The first day we arrived we have been so hungry and the oldy italian lady prepared such a delicious dinner with full of love for us. We really felt home there and we enjoyed the stay a lot. Stop. Go no further. There is no better accomodation available regardless of how much you pay in our opinion. We stayed at this delightful bed and breakfast for 3 nights in the triple loft room. The service was exceptional and really is what made the stay. My partner and I travel fairly frequently and have only encountered similar service once before, years prior, in rural Ireland. Hopefully this emphasises how impressed we were. The accomodation is run by the most delightful Italian family you could ever meet and they were brilliant from the day 1. Examples of this kindness included picking us up for free from a bus stop when we got lost on arrival, giving us endless personalised advice about local attractions and cleaning our room daily without asking. They also dropped us at the start of the path of the gods. When we couldn’t find a laundromat nearby they cleaned our clothes and wouldn’t take payment. The accomodation itself is perfectly located given it is less than 100m from a bus stop and a local restaurant which had 4.8/5 stars at time of our stay but somehow was ridiculously cheap compared to the surrounding towns. There isn’t a lot of other eating options nearby but for us, we didn’t need anything more. While the location itself is out of the tourist hot spots such as Amalfi and Positano, we thought this was a bonus as it is more peaceful and quiet. If we end up back in this area we would stay again in a heartbeat. The highlight of our Italian trip so far. Attached are a photo of the room as you enter and a view from one of the windows.
