The location was great if you were looking to be out in the country, which we were. The pool was nice as we had hot weather. The breakfast was wonderful too. The staff was exceptional!

Location was good, the place is amazing, all around is wineryard and green. The river is in the backyard. The place was very clean, breakfast was very good and very unusual in Italy. And most of all was the grate stuff: Alessandro and Elionora and all the others. They helped us a lot. We will come back for sure.

You can literally hear everyone around you - the walls are super thin.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, very spacious and clean, staff was very lovely. When you get into the room, you definitely say "YAY!". The breakfast was fantastic - super yummy! The bonus: they have a huge well maintained garden with a beautiful lake; there are some amazing old ruins there to see, bamboo park and so much more. We will definitely come back!

The restaurant adjoining (rechnically not part of the hotel) While the staff were nice, the food was somewhat weird and overpriced.

The breakfast room and staff were excellent... Alexia really cheered us up and could not be more helpful. The housekeeping staff never left any milk for coffee in the room...had to borrow some from breakfast room.

The photo views (deliberately) confuse the Il Borgo site with the adjacent Villa site. This is a simple roadside hotel. While the cost is reasonable, this confusion disappoints an arriving guest. There is traffic noise. WAZE routing is problematic.

Breakfast was very good. There are walking paths. Close to a Medici palace.

Lighting in our particular room was quite dim, especially in the bathroom where you may want better lighting. The rooms are quite rustic and so the lower level lighting lends itself to this, but would have been great to have slightly better lighting in bathroom, or more natural lighting by the mirror if possible.

All the staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating, especially considering we were relying on their shuttle service to get around during our trip. The location is beautiful and very quiet. The accommodation was larger than expected with everything taken care of, right down to cutlery for self-catering. Value was great considering the large room and included breakfast. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety, and different options each morning with regular offerings also. Onsite restaurant offers a beautiful setting for an incredible meal. Food is impeccable and staff were always friendly and accommodating. Health and safety was taken very seriously, which is great to see. Social distancing and mask wearing was respected, and regular hand sanitising was always available.

We were looking for a quiet and spacious place to stay with our 7-month-old baby. Here we exactly found what we were looking for. Room: when you first arrive there you might get a wrong impression because there is nothing on the property that's too fancy. But as soon as you enter the room and take a closer look you recognize that everything is well-thought-out here. The rooms are in the direct environment of the pool. There are short ways to the breakfast area and the reception as well. The room we stayed in was big and well climatised. The AC is powerful and works very well. The bathroom was very clean and actually beautiful. You hardly feel comfortable in hotel bathrooms. Here you do. We even had a whirlpool, which did not work, unfortunately, but that didn't bother us. The ground and first floor are connected by a long open stairway, which could be a problem when you travel with a toddler. The bed was very comfortable and big. Pool: the pool area is very clean and surrounded by hedges for some privacy. The pool got cleaned every morning and is big enough to swim in it. The area around the pool is created like a garden with multiple levels to lay down. Sunbeds and parasols are there for free and towels can be borrowed for little money. Surroundings: the whole site is basically a big park with a small lake (where you are not allowed to bath) and very well-kept green spaces all around the place. On top of the property, there is a fancy hotel building with a great restaurant that we can only recommend. Service: everyone was very nice and accomodating and they made our stay the perfect experience. Whoever sat at the reception, we were helped immediately. Breakfast: As vegetarians breakfast usually is a problem. Here we actually couldn't stop eating. Every visit to the buffet was different as the very dedicated kitchen staff came up with different stuff every day. I have stayed in many hotels before. This breakfast surely was the best ever.

Easiest to have a car here but the train is a short taxi or a longer walk, so it’s doable.

We felt so welcomed by the warm owners and staff here - this place has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The pool is beautiful, the breakfast delicious and we got help with everything we needed whether ordering dinner or finding our way somewhere. We loved it!

There were some mosquitoes around July time which is common so make sure to bring some mosquito spray.

The whole property is maintained properly and beautiful. It is clean and has a lot of trees so you do not feel the 35c weather as it was breezy. The apartment was spotless and spacious, the ac worked well and had a great sleep. The kitchen was great with complete tools for cooking. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was amazing. Make sure you tried the restaurant for dinner as well and choose the chefs menu. The free use of bike was great. And of course the friendly host and his family who are working in the property.

Food, amenities (pool, table tennis, free bike rental, a lawn to kick ball around, outdoor tables, rooms equipped with stoves and good fridges), personnel, free WiFi, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Just wonderful! Everything was perfect. Unpretentious, family friendly, beautiful setting yet just 15 minutes drive from Florence airport, excellent restaurant, and most of all wonderful staff who act like family with warmth and human touch (particular thanks to Olesiya). The perfect relaxing weekend in Tuscany!

The room was very old fashioned with old faded pictures on the walls. You could hear every noise from all your neighbours. Needs a bit of polishing in general and it has the potential to be top class.
