Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SerbiaWe got room for disabled people, so bathroom was equipped for them with some strange toilet seat cover with difficult position to do the job 😅. Bed mattress is a bit uncomfortable. Small restaurant/ dinning room . Parking in "silos" is scary to drive in first time... Reception and entrance lobby are outdated.
Location is very nice. Hotel room was large, clean, newer furniture. We got room for disabled people, so bathroom was equipped for them. Polite and helpful man in restaurant/dinning room. Polite receptionist which explained us where to park. Breakfast is basic but sufficient, coffee from coffee machine is extraordinary.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe breakfast was scarce, and that's the only thing that spoils the overall picture of the hotel.
The location is great. Staff is very kind. We could find a parking place close to the hotel with a fair price.

Austriathere was nothing to complain about.
Hotel and its facilities are pretty simple (as you can expect in case of 3 stars hotel) but it was extraordinar clean and also the room was pretty spacious. location is vey central, 5min from main train and bus station and also close to the city center - so you can reach everthing by foot. Breakfast was also fine - at least for italian habits :-) staff was also ver friendly and helpfull.

United KingdomSo there is only one reason I’ve had to mark this down a bit, and it’s something that really annoyed me. On my second and final night I arrived back at the hotel at about 11:15pm. The man on reception insisted I tell him my room number. Well I’m not being funny, but you don’t always remember your room number as there is no key with the number on it - you just know where the room is, especially after a couple of beers. So I couldn’t recall it. So he wouldn’t let me in, even though I told him my name and he said he couldn’t find me as a guest there. After a little while, and all I wanted to do was get back to the room I’d paid for, he eventually let me in after I described exactly where the room was in the hotel, and hey presto - he does see my name now. I’m not being funny but this bloke should be sacked. I mean come on, if I’m going to break into a hotel that I am not staying at, it won’t be the hotel Italia! It’s a disgrace that a hotel doesn’t let you just walk into your room and makes you feel like you’re completely untrusted.
Nice location and a comfortable hotel, I actually rather liked it. It was spacious and the girl on reception when I check in was really nice, as was the man ok reception when I checked out this morning.

SwitzerlandThe ventilation systems of the hotel that are in the back yard create quite a bit of noise through the whole night. Depending on where your room is, this can be a problem when sleeping with open window. Also, in my room, there was sometimes a weird issue where all the water in the bathroom (even the toilet water) would become super-hot - but it was always resolved quickly by the friendly staff. Also, in the room itself, there isn't a lot of storage space for clothes. There was a large cupboard, but with almost no shelves to put stuff on. Not a big issue for me, but could be for others.
The hotel is very near the main train station (10-15 minutes walking distance). Also very near the famous Zampolli gelateria, and only 5 minutes from the beautiful pedestrian zone. And because it's in a side street, it's still relatively quiet (depends on the room though). The breakfast had a good selection of foods, including boiled eggs, various types of bread (white and dark), and very good coffee. My room was large (for a single-guest room), very clean, with a proper desk, a good bathroom with shower, and a sufficiently sized bed. Overall, while the house is very old, and there may occasionally be hickups with the plumbing, it is very nice and enjoyable. Oh, and another plus: The hotel entrance is open 24 hours.

SwitzerlandBathroom floor extremely slippery when wet. Only one standard round EU power receptacle in room. Internet connection demands all sorts of personal information, but you can invent the data. Desk staff tended to be impatient; one gave us wrong directions. Cleaning staff was friendly. Breakfast takes an eternity because not a buffet. Instead, you check the items you want on a slip that the employee then puts on your plate for you. She is alone and must repeat this for every guest.
Clean and modern hotel in good location.
