The location is Amazing! Wonderful house with its 3 terraces with a beatuful view but still very close to everything including the parking lot and the train. Very clean and convinient.

The perfect place for some downtime in Monterosso. Facing out over the sea just off the coast path, it’s an amazing romantic retreat to listen to waves, watch the sunset and generally chill whilst being within walking distance of both sides of Monterosso. All nautical themed, there is a bedroom on the top floor and kitchen, diner and bathroom downstairs (beware the steps are narrow and steep) Three terraces outside, had breakfast on one, lunch on another and sunbathed on the third. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer and was the absolute highlight of three weeks in Italy. Sylvia the owner also runs L’Ancora de la Tortuga restaurant which is only 2 mins away and was so good we went twice. Would be back in a heartbeat.

The location was unbelievablely scenic as well as convenient, the accommodation was very clean and atmospheric, and the hostess was pleasent and helpful. Quite literally this was the most beautiful flat in which I have ever stayed! The money was worth this once in a lifetime experience. We got reservations at the associated restaurant--delicious meal!

Everything was great!

This is a very special house built on a rock cliff with one bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. It was very clean and the setting with its 3 terraces was amazing. Owner Silvia was charming and accommodating. I would highly recommend! Silvia also has a great restaurant next door, food and views were amazing.

We loved it but I would note you need a good level of agility for the stairs down to the kitchen / dining and bathroom area.

I was worried that this location was too good to be true but it was actually better than I had imagined. The Casa is well located for either beach / town of Monterosso, as the old town beach is straight through the tunnel so about 100m away, as is Fegina by the time you get to the steps, although closer from a viewing perspective. There are 3 outdoor terraces which, given how crowded the Cinque Terre is, was an absolute luxury. From the western terrace you have a splendid view of Monterosso and the Fegina beach, so you can see all that is going on and feel part of it, but have the luxury of your own space. The Casa is very well appointed and thought out, so while not huge, we found we had space to put most things away during our stay, and it had all the facilities we needed. Silvia, our host, was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. Silvia also left generous breakfast supplies which was a pleasant surprise.

This place is a dream. Location is unbelievable. The owner is so nice and helpful. The town is picturesque. Waking up to crashing waves below us every day made our vacation a lifelong memory.

I loved everything about La Casa Del Doganiere. The location was perfect. There were nice touches everywhere. Shower water pressure was outstanding. Bonus..is the new outdoor shower that was just installed. It was perfect for cooling off throughout the day of lounging on the terraces.

We were told that someone would meet us. We walked to the location and called and host met us and helped us get the key. The host seemed stressed. She and her husband also run the restaurant nearby. Internet didn’t work. HVAC didn’t work.

Really comfortable. Views great. Outdoor seating really good. The food at the restaurant was really good as well as good service. Quiet even though centrally located. Water pressure in downstairs shower really good. Location stocked well for the time we were there.

this wasn’t an issue for me and my friend, but tip to other travelers - the space is smaller including the shower, so anyone who is either vertically or horizontally “blessed”, or who have mobility issues may not appreciate the apartment.

the pictures on the listing do not do it justice. the views are amazing and the outside space leaves nothing to be desired. there are 3 terraces with different seating types and facing different directions. the location in proximity to the train station and small stores is wonderful especially in colder or rainy weather.

STUNNING views. Absolutely unbelievable location and views. The gate was amazing to keep folks on the trail from wandering too close to our private area. Sleeping to the sound of the sea lapping against the cliff side was spectacular. The host is absolutely wonderful; she owns an AMAZING restaurant next door and was kind enough to make reservations for us one night. Spectacular responsiveness and cleanliness. 10/10 recommend, BOOK THIS. You will not be disappointed as pictures don’t do justice.
