I can’t think of anything we didn’t like!

This property was so ideal! It was within the fortress gates just a few steps from the shopping strip but down an alleyway so you also felt removed from it. The locations was absolute perfect, the suite very clean and SO unique - a perfect mix of old mixed with all the modern necessities you’re used to. The host, Marco, made it very easy and was always a text away if needed. The included breakfast was a short walk away and was so lovely that we ended up booking dinner reservations multiple nights during our stay. I would absolutely stay here again!

Nothing at all.

We loved the suite itself. Very large, clean, fabulous shower, well-appointed, direct access to the garden. There was also a small refrigerator and a hot water kettle. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was at a local cafe--excellent!

The wifi was too weak in the loft therefore we couldn’t connect to it.

The apartment we stayed in is designed more for couples getting away for a short escape. There are no kitchen/cooking, microwave, washing facilities for those that are travelling or want to stay for longer periods. To be fair to our hosts, this apartment was not designed for this. La Corte Secreta do have an apartment with kitchen etc that would suit extended stays - it just wasn't available when I booked.

Absolutely the most beautifully designed apartment set in the historic centre - so great location. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was very spacious. The host who live upstairs with their 3 children were also very helpful and friendly. It is a great place for a couple getting away for the weekend. We also loved the little turtles in the courtyard garden. We ate at some great restaurants, toured the historic places and visited the museum and did a wine tasting during our 3 days. Our accommodation came with breakfast vouchers at a great Cafe where we sat outside each morning in a small verandah with great views over the countryside and met new people each day.

Not accepting cards, unless you pay the fees. But host was flexible to let me avoid cash.

Apartment is modern, spacious, well furnished and the location is perfect. It is in the city centre while being close to two parking areas (one in ZTL where you are allowed to enter after 8pm). Host was very friendly and left us with many useful tips regarding places to visit. Much appreciated!

Had to pay cash which we didn’t know. kids were in a separate apartment. lucky they had kitchen facilities as our room didn’t have any kettle or coffee facilities which it said on booking. com.

My husband and I can not say enough nice things about this place!! The room was gorgeous and spacious! The owner was the best and so hospitable! He went above and beyond to make our trip relaxing, fun and effortless!! Would highly recommend!!

Furniture somehow outdated

Location, air conditioning, refrigerator, good bed but overall Ahmed. He was so helpful, he offered help and advice in restaurants, shopping and got us a taxi to go to the station, we were able to text back and forward with questions and he answered right away, he made a great difference.

nothing to complain

except in corona times we are traveling frequently and we are always striving for a very special accommodation, We cab say, this was the best we ever had. La corte segreta was something extraordinary, designed with passion by Marco and Laura our host. We travelled with a Fiat 500 and it was no problem for parking, not sure if it works also so smoothly with a big car. The breakfast was in an old caffe with a spectacular view.

Odor in the entryway, uncomfortable (couch, bed, chairs), noisy birds every morning, outlet didnt seem secure to the wall. Door lock didn’t seem very secure.

Location was good and also close to parking.

We felt a bit misled by the beautiful photos of the property. There are two units at the location and the owner lives above. Our unit was the smaller unit, a room with double bed described as rustic decor with a garden view. I have posted a photo of the garden view. The foreground is littered in pet poop. The other main complaint was the state of the shower floor which is pretty grim with black mould. See 2nd posted image.

Great central and quiet location. Paid parking garage a block away. Nicely outfitted bathroom. Decent bed and linens.

The first challenge is that the door to the apartment doesn't actually close or lock. Although the door to the building locks and I was the only guest during the stay, it is odd to have to keep chairs in front of the door to keep the apartment door closed. The host was out of town and sent a friend to take a look but he agreed the host should fix the issue. Additionally mid-way through my week-long stay, the host asked me to pay full in cash for the property. I thought this was odd as one usually pays at the end of a stay and not in the middle. Also, it is not really clear on booking.com that you need to pay in cash at the property and it is a considerable amount of money to get from an ATM. It would be good if that policy can be in bold when you book the reservations. Given that I stayed in a few apartments while I was in Montepulciano that I felt were better managed, I probably wouldn't return here.

The location of this apartment is great for a stay in Montepulciano and has a wonderful view.

Payment in cash is mandatory, we were not correctly informed and the manager was extraordinarily rude and unpolite. His partner was very nice and tried to avoid any conflict. There were a moment that Marco wanted to call the policy… can you believe it?
