How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The breakfast finished earlier than we thought but perhaps we got it wrong. In any event there is a cafe across the street 👍🏻
Quaint place and a good value for money. Good location too and the parking is an extra bonus!

The self check-in with no time limitations is available only for guests who pay in avance trough the app, not for those who prefer paying at the property: this was not clear at the moment of the booking, it becase clear only after the booking was confirmed. I suggest to explain this better.
Very close to the city center, self check-in which is perfect for late arrivals. The interior and the rooms are very peculiar, extremely interestig, suggested to people who like to be different. Public parking spaces within few meters, quiet area.

No water, toothpaste and slippers were provided.
A very cozy place, each room is different. Ours was about theatre and it had 3 actual theatre seatings. Good breakfast (although nothing special). Very good for its price. Also parking for just 7 euros

The bed creaked loudly at every move and windows didn't close that well so cars could be heard during the night making interrupting the sleep.
Room, bathroom and breakfast saloon all looked very nice

The room and especially the bathroom were very spacious. There was no noise from the outside. Decoration of the hotel is really nice. Breakfast was really ok. Super value for money.

All good.
We were fortunate to be allocated the two bedroom apartment with free carpark. Plenty of space with a full kitchen and fridge/freezer. Good breakfast provided. Pretty handy to central Asti. Good communication with booking and self-check-in. Guido was extremely helpful, thanks!

The host, Guido, is wonderful. He was extremely attentive and responsive. The parking was free and readily accessible. Breakfast was diverse and tasty.

Excellent location. Owner was welcoming and responsive to my calls and questions. The breakfast room is nice and whimsical. The staff is friendly and efficient. Selections for breakfast is above average. I would stay there if I return to Asti.

The street my room was facing was a bit noisy- nothing against the bnb itself, just note for future visitors.
Less than a 10 minute walk from the very center square - great location and price! Nicely decorated to give it a homey feeling, good breakfast, everything that you may need.

Some rooms face to the street, so it might be noisy if you prefer to sleep with open windows.

Bread at breakfast was very poor, but if one wanted cake there was loads of choice (I dont eat cake at breakfast) Very poor soundproofing between rooms when other people came back late.
Decor was very interesting and unusual. It was nice to meet the painter who did much of this. Great to be able to park in the enclosed courtyard. We were lucky to get an upgraded room with fridge.

I would like to have better quality pillows and duvet savers.
We loved the location and the room layout. The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise, so many different products to choose from. The host Guido send me a short video message how to approach the apartment and where is the breakfast area It was a very useful. Definitely worth stay.

The beds were a little hard/uncomfortable but otherwise it was good.
The location was great and convenient for us to get around the area, including Barolo. The middle of Asti was just a short walk away and the manager was very helpful with check in and suggestions. Great water pressure in the shower.
