Some tourists might like a free bottle of clean water as a nice touch (many do). However, you can always buy one at the bar without any trouble. It's fair to say that the hotel is better suited for guests with cars.

- The hotel is a great base for exploring Lake Como's tourist spots, especially if you have a car. - Breakfast is excellent here, featuring fresh slices, tasty bacon pancakes, and more. It's the best breakfast we've had among similar-priced hotels. - There's free parking, including a cool underground option which is great during hot weather. - Extremely friendly staff. You can really feel the Italian hospitality and care. - The rooms are very clean and offer amazing views (mine had a lake view and a balcony).

The staff was welcoming, kind, full of helpful local information (such as where to park for free in the nearby towns), friendly and so attentive to every detail! They spoke at least four different languages, so communication was not an obstacle! The view was simply incredible! In the evening we were able to enjoy a tasty, calm, wonderfully Italian dinner at a very reasonable cost! The garage parking was great in case of bad weather or just simply for loading and unloading the car with direct access into the hotel. The buffet breakfast was beautiful and was constantly refreshed as guests trickled down during the breakfast hours. There were pastries, cereal, boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, fresh fruit, toast, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, meat, cheese, rolls and a choice of bread. Since this is a family owned hotel, they strive to please the guests and the standard of cleanliness, order and beauty are above reproach.

A beautiful hotel overlooking Lake Como. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. We had a room with a small terrace, sun lounger, and seating area. The rooms above us had a small balcony. Breakfast was great, with a phenomenal view of the lake. We highly recommend this hotel for those who enjoy a touch of luxury and tranquility.

the coffee machine in breakfast. You are getting used to drink good coffee in Italy and bad coffee from a german coffee machine is a bit disappointing. Filter coffee could be an option.

Everything! The location was perfect, views were incredible!! Wish we could have stayed for longer. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond for us. The whole of the property was always spotlessly clean and you can tell the owners take great pride in their hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Location very quiet, up on the hill, beautiful view from room with balcony Extreme friendliness of owner, the breakfast room is lovely, light and friendly, with beautiful decorations on the wall, very serene, perfect to start the day - and the terrace has fantastic view. It is as on the pictures on the internet, even better. The furniture in the room has also a creamy light colour, which is soothing and makes the room bigger.

amazing staff and vibes of the hotel are nice, quite and peaceful. the balcony with lake view is amazing at night and sunrise, the weather was cold but if you got the chance to swim in the pool its amazing. 10 minutes drive to menagio you can park there and enjoy your ferry trips.

The staff were fantastic! Warm and welcoming and always willing to help. The view from the hotel is magnificent. Facilities are great, and while the decor is an older style, the rooms are beautifully kept and clean. Note the hotel is up on the hill and not down by the lake's edge so getting up there with your bags is difficult by foot as it is a bit steep. But the hotel was fantastic and organised a taxi to pick us up and bring us to the top once we arrived in town. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tremezzo and would come back again!!

Just a personal preference - Only down side for us was we usually use our hotels as a base during the day to rest before going out in the evening but with this hotel - once you're out, it was best for us to stay out all day after so much walking. The walk made us a little reluctant to stay out after dark as we didn't want to pay 15€ for taxi each way or walk the big hill late. An evening shuttle or similar would be a fantastic addition to this wonderful hotel!

Fantastic staff who were consistently extremely friendly and helpful- chatting away in multiple languages to guests! They booked us a taxi when we arrived at the ferry port. Gave us information about the local market and ferry day pass. Also, we requested a late check out that was really helpful! Thank you 🙏 We were unsure whether to hire a car for our trip after reading some reviews about the hike up the hill. On reflection we're glad we didn't because we would have only used it to get up and down the hill as the ferry service was cheap and easy to get around. Aw A real authentic Italian feel to the hotel! Good breakfast and relaxing setting. The hotel and rooms were spotless!!

Found pillows somewhat uncomfortable (personal preference) and location on hill was tiring to walk back up after a long day but still doable.

Nothing really to criticise other than possibly a bit more variety on the dinner menu would have been appreciated. It was so tempting to relax in the hotel of an evening and eat in, which would have been even better with a broader menu. The evening atmosphere in the outdoor dining areas was amazing.

Beautiful tranquil location with stunning views over the lake and mountains. Our hosts were super friendly and so courteous. The hotel was immaculately clean with little areas for peaceful relaxation. The breakfast was so lovely, offering a great choice and the outside eating areas were a treat every morning
