Julio and the rest of the team made us feel like we were staying at home. Hospitality was excellent. Food at the restaurant superb... and his wine selection incredible.

The property is stunning. Le Casa della Saracca is 800 years old and Giulio has done a wonderful job at maintaining its historical essence. Every room has a unique personality and should not be missed. The bed is comfortable and the room has all the amenities one could ask for. This has been one of my favorite stays of all time.

Nothing! I would not change a thing!

Words cannot begin to describe this unique and beautiful property. It is stunning-- an old building but totally refurbished inside. Family owned and managed, they were absolutely amazing hosts-- they could not have been more accommodating. The food was delicious and the owner gave us a tour of his wine cellar-- just incredible. The rooms were incredibly spacious, and some of the rooms in our group had large sitting areas where we could convene as a family. The location is great and an easy walk into town and to other restaurants, etc. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was perfect in every way.

Nothing, really. No parking just outside the building

A fantastic stay at Le Case della Saracca. Love this nice small hotell in this 1000 years old building - and the host Guilio was very helpful and warm. Perfect place for wine lovers :-)

It was perfect, but guests should note that - because the hotel is within the pedestrianized part of the old town - it is not possible to drive to the door. However, ample parking is usually available close by.

It is always such a treat staying here, the hotel is unique and very comfortable. Built into the side of a cliff, and made up of four connected medieval buildings, each room is different and connected though a series of hallways and caverns. The bar and restaurant on the ground floor are terrific, and the wine list - and wine cellars - are exceptional, and with an encyclopedia selection from Barolo. Giulio and his team go out of their way to ensure a lovely stay. We are always treated like good friends who have come to visit.

The wifi did not work that well but it was not a big problem for us as we have the option of using regular data on the phones, the hotel is at the top of town so there is a bit of uphill to get back to the hotel if you have been walking in the village center

A unique hotel! The rooms were unlike anything I have stayed at, the view from the small balcony was amazing, it was an adventure to walk through the "labyrinth" to get to the room and to the bar, lovely restaurant with an amazing wine list, great service!

Super unique, clean and very friendly and helpfull staff. Giulio can arrange visits with vineyards, and has an excellent wine bar in the first floor. His cellar is also amazing.

Nothing: it’s fantastic

This is a place with extraordinary character and history, beautifully restored into a boutique hotel and restaurant. The rooms are stylishly simple but the building, essentially a series of medieval caves, is stunningly creative in itself and needs little dressing up. The food is excellent, the wine list extensive (and that’s even before you get to the off-list collection!) and Giuglio is a wonderful host. Nothing is too much trouble for him, whether rustling up some pasta for us when we arrived late, helping with itineraries or phoning restaurants and wineries. We had a fantastic time and cannot recommend it more highly. A true 10/10!

A beautiful place where past (many centuries-old building) meets present (comfort, airco, great bed, splendid mix with steel and glass) both at the hotel as well as the adjacent restaurant. Great personal hospitality displayed by Giulio and his team made you feel welcome and taken care of. The restaurant has an impressive winelist with over 100 Barolo wines from the local area, to only be multiplied with Barolo’s from further afield, Barbarescos, Barberas, Dolcettos and many other which combine great with the Piedmontese food on the menu. An adventure for the senses in many ways! No wonder many of his guests return year after year, and we definitely aim to come back in the near future! Grazie mille Giulio
