    “It is difficult to review the Albergo Cantine Ascheri objectively because this is my favourite hotel. So I am giving it 10 out of 10. The hotel is a modern boutique hotel and totally unique. Everything seems to have been designed for the hotel. The chairs are coloured to fit with the subdued wine inspired theme. The fabric on the sofas displays grapes and vines. In our room spy holes showed you points of interest in the surrounding area. The staff, many of whom are from the family Ascheri, welcome you as though your visit matters to them. The rooms are large and comfortable, decorated in the overall wine inspired theme. Breakfast is served in an area with large windows overlooking the courtyard. The breakfast has a good variety and everything is very fresh. The Bra sausage is fantastic and the homemade cakes round off a great way to start the day. If you have time it is well worth visiting the winery. We were shown round by one of the family. Then treated to a tasting by the head wine maker. Their passion for wine and knowledge of their business is so genuine it is a privilege to spend time with them. Finally while there is not strictly a restaurant in the hotel, the Osteria Murivecchi is another family run business in the corner of the courtyard. The food is great and together with a bottle of the Ascheri wine, not to be missed.”

    “A comfortable room that included a sofa and coffee table. A comfortable bed. The bathroom was fitted with a spa bath and all the necessary utilities were included. Good breakfast. We had a lovely view of the town of Barolo from our windows. Just a couple of minutes on foot from the centre. Lots of parking space.”

    “Rooms: We stayed Standard King Room. The room was huge, well decorated and elegant. The balcony was amazing with view of vineyards. The smell of flowers surround you, when you step out the balcony. Even shampoos and soaps are choosen in an elegant way in the room.At nights, the surrounding of the place is calm and no noice. Service: Uncomparable with other experiences. The owner/managers of the Villa were so nice, welcoming, helpful for everything. This makes the huge difference with other places I have tried before. We greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service.Heartfelt thanks to everyone who is in charge. Breakfast and lunch: You can eat at the place with their variety of wines Parking:Open parking in front of the hotel Swimming pool: We didn’t try due to the season. It is outside. Not for swimming but to chill with vineyard view.”

    “This was our second time staying at Al Brich and this time we stayed for two nights and toured round some of the local cantinas tasting Barolo, Nebbiolo and Barbera. We returned to Al Brich because Federico is a lovely host, the breakfast is one of the best we have had in Italy, the location is easy to get to with superb views and lots of nearby cantinas to visit, there is a restaurant a short 6 minutes walk or a second one on the other side of the village, the rooms are a good size with kettle, fridge and small balconies with table and chairs, parking is in the yard by the house and visible from the rooms and finally it is exceptional value for money. The drive towards Turin has the most amazing scenery and there are petrol stations on the way. We will be staying again! Grazie mille Federico”
