Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandHard to find and even more difficult to arrive to the place. Adress needs to be updated, besides there is no parking close by! Not a negative point but just be prepared to carry your luggage two flights of stairs at least.
Very friendly and attentive owner. Just to remember that the owners live in the house as well. That makes quite homely atmosphere in the kitchen.

United Kingdom- The dog Sara is super cute. - The breakfast is delicious, especially the homemade yoghurt. There are so many options. - The views over the Chianti countryside are postcard perfect. - The hosts have a warm hospitality. - There is much to explore within a 30-minute drive of the property. - This is a lovely part of the Chianti region of Tuscany for walking, running or enjoying a picnic. - The coffee in the local town is remarkable value, less than €2 for an Americano. - The trattoria La Toppa is a minute walk away in San Donato and we highly recommend going there. Thank you Paolo and Valeria for looking after us.

SingaporePaolo, Valeria, and Sara ;) made us feel so welcome, it's a memorable experience to have our time over here. Hospitality at its best, I asked for an Aperol spritz at 10 in the morning and Paolo who was a master mixologist from Naples made the best of which I had tasted - as the recipe he adheres to is strictly the classical format (no shortcuts, all proper ingredients) , it is guaranteed to move your taste buds even in the cold March sun. The wood stove in our room was taken care of hourly so our feet would feel warm once we came back from touring around Chianti. Sincerely it is a good place to stay whether to relax at their terrazze, or to tour around Chianti's magnificent landscape.

CanadaWe wished we could have had dinner here but it was not offered in the off season. All the restaurants in town are also closed during this time. Just a bar open at the bottom of the road and restaurants reachable by car.
Very authentic, comfortable and spacious room. The hosts are wonderful! There is free parking just a short walk away. Beautiful views of the countryside from the terrace.

United KingdomPaolo and Valeria were superstars. They couldn’t have been more helpful. They were warm and welcoming, attentive and considerate, and gave us some great recommendations for towns to visit, car parks to use, restaurants to dine in etc. We stayed in La Soffita which was a beautiful and spacious room (big enough to accommodate a king size bed plus 2 x singles with plenty of room to spare) with a stunning view to boot. The room had more amenities than we needed, and provided a great combination of comfort and rustic appeal. There was a good selection of foods for breakfast including homemade yoghurt and freshly home-baked cakes/pastries every day. We would definitely stay again. A huge thank you from us!

Australianothing!
This stay exceeded expectations! We booked for only one night after lunch at Antinori Winery up the road. There was also a fabulous restaurant for dinner just across the street from the BnB. This stay was very cosy and welcoming. Paolo was a fantastic host, as was his lovely dog, Sara, whom we got to play with while enjoying apertivo drinks on the balcony. We had one of the smaller rooms, but it was still perfect- comfortable & had everything we needed. Breakfast was fabulous. This place is very cosy, welcoming, and great value for money.

AustraliaNothing really. No washing machine, but laundromat a 10 min drive away. No aircon, so if it was hotter may have been a problem. Was 28-30° when we stayed and was fine with the ceiling fan.

Le Terazze is a great place to be if you want to visit Chianti. The location is perfect, in the center of a small village. There is also a safe public parking lot ca. 100m away. If you want to visit the wineries or other cities you will definitely need a car. The rooms and the accommodation in general are very authentic and special and full of history. The terrace is amazing and is even much more beautiful then in the photos, you can use it all day and also in the evening and enjoy a wine or the great homemade Italian breakfast which was fresh and very delicious! The cakes and the coffee were outstanding. The hosts are very nice, friendly and intelligent people, who are always willing to help out or give tips for your stay in Chianti. They also have a wonderful dog which made our stay even better :) Thank you very much for everything!
