How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room just seemed bigger in the photos, nothing else.
The room was nice and comfortable, not too big but not too small. The breakfast was various and good. The location of the hotel was near the main train station of Firenze and a lot of busses stopped there too, so it was perfect.

For the price and location, there are really no downsides to this property. The staff was kind and helpful.
The location right across from SMN train station was fantastic…. Very easy to take luggage from the station to the hotel. The breakfast each morning (included in the rate) was also really nice with made-to-order coffee and tea drinks.

They don't establish there were no stairs. With promotion, they must tell about it . There are client can't climb stairs.

WiFi not brilliant in our room on upper floor but worked fine in other areas of hotel.
Superb location so convenient for SMN station with option to leave luggage before and after check-in/out. Room was lovely, bed comfortable, bathroom clean and spacious. Breakfast delicious and varied.

Wall was a little thin so could hear noise outside, toilet seat was broken and shower temperature was either too hot or cold.

The breakfast is.Weak Nothing hot. One pastry choice. It’s free but still.
Across from train station. Its location requires no taxi. You can walk everywhere. Cheap cheap clothing district No balcony but I love my huge window open I’m got confused about my checkout date. The staff happily accommodated.

The hotel needed some updating, the shower kept going hot and cold and had pretty bad pressure. There was no lift and we were on the 3rd floor. The breakfast could have had a better selection, all cold foods only.
The hotel was in a good location.

The toilet lid was loose/wonky and I forgot to mention it to the team. It took a while for me to get the shower at the right temperature, wasting a lot of water in the process, which l hate. At times too hot in the room, even though I did try to lower the thermostat; I did follow the minus arrow.
Both receptionists were very pleasant, proactive in information/assistance and accommodating, too. I do not remember requesting a quiet room but I certainly got one. I loved the shower, unusual design. It was very clean, which is what I mostly look for when booking a hotel room. Breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and options, the coffee superb. Lady very friendly and indeed hard working!

Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was no lift. Once going up, we had to think twice coming down. Had a hard time shutting the bathroom door for privacy but other than that everything was great.
Great location!!! A few steps from Santa Maria Novela Station and walking distance to many restaurants and points of interest. Great staff and super clean and tidy room. If ever going back to Florence, I’ll definitely stay there again.

No elevator :(
Boutique hotel. NO elevator! We were on floor 2 (which is technically 3 in Europe) and having a bad leg was not ideal. The room itself was nice and clean. Not much noise from the main road. The bathroom was interesting as there was a see through wall where the shower is and you can see whoever is showering from your bed. Location was great, near train station and walking distance to the sites.

Absence of lift and room pantry, coffee and tea amenities .....
Location and room size was the plus point, negative is the absence of lift, it's really hard to take the luggage 3,4 stories up through stairs.
