Breakfasts were wonderful. Bruschetta,cheese,salami,egg,toast,pastries, yogurt,fresh juice,coffee. Views and the sunsets are amazing. The manager Constantino was super helpful in pointing us to the fun tourist spots and good restaurants. He always had a smile on his face. Our suite was huge (100sqm). the bed was comfy, a/c worked well. I think it really offered great value compared to a hotel. Location is best suited to renting a car, but I really enjoyed driving around the narrow roads of Ischia.

Absolutely amazing experience. The villa is very stylish, located at a great post on a hill and the panoramic view of the sunset is unbeatable. You can enjoy privacy, free parking, a clean fresh pool and everything is spotlessly clean. Constantino and the rest of the stuff are very polite and always helpful for anything you might need.

Obviously being away from the hustle and bustle means you need to be aware that you will most probably need to use expensive Ischian taxis to move around or hire a car or mopeds to go to restaurants/ shops . Walking downhill in the heat was good exercise though ! We had the pool accommodation : The necessary air con was very affective but loud. The shower pressure is not the greatest . The sofa bed was not the most comfortable for 3rd person for any length of time though .

The elegant property, tasteful furnishings, fantastic landscaping and in particular the position and views from the elevated villa were amazing . Stunning vista over the coasts of Ischia and breathtaking sunsets . Beautiful pool to share ( occasionally ) with other 2 rooms/ suites . Peace and quiet away from hustle and bustle was much appreciated . Excellent cleanliness, daily service and fresh breakfast laid out every morning . One very popular restaurant about 15 mins walk down towards Forio on main road and there is also a 20/30 min walk downhill on smaller path/ road to Lacco Ameno . Konstantin was very helpful, kind and friendly and fun .

Just one thing could have made our stay more delightful than it already was - the mattress and quality of linens could be updated. (I will say we have high expectations for these as personal preference.) I noticed other travelers would have liked an afternoon aperitivo or snack provided but we really enjoyed making our own & didn't think it was necessary.

Words can't describe the incredible experience we had here but I'll try :) Villa Magdalena is one of those once in a lifetime properties combined with exceptional service that creates an unforgettable experience. We chose Villa Magdalena over a different property because of the high level of personalized service other reviewers talked about, and we absolutely made the right decision. We are so grateful for the VM team, esp Konstantino & Maria, for taking great care of us. They not only made us feel welcome and catered to our needs, but they offered suggestions based on their lived experience that really enriched our holiday. Some specifics to highlight: - The views of the island from the property are incredible. And they are all accessible because the property is so open! - There are only 3 rooms here which means a lot of privacy and quiet. We found that Ischia could feel congested during high season, and Villa Magdalena provided a wonderfully calm setting. - Breakfast was wonderful. A wide variety of local foods was offered in a relaxed, low pressure environment. We aren't normally breakfast eaters but we looked forward to this ritual each morning. - We cannot say enough about Konstantin's attention to detail and responsiveness. His many years of expertise in the hospitality industry absolutely shows! If it's your first time on Ischia and/or you enjoy a highly individualized & intimate experience don't hesitate to book Villa Magdalena. We will absolutely be back!

Not sure if air conditioning was working or not.

The villa was absolutely stunning and felt like a real home. It’s 5 mins out of Forio so you need transport, they have parking onsite. The view is amazing with some beautiful sunsets. Costantino and family were super responsive on WhatsApp with any queries. Breakfast was extensive. the room was very large including the bathroom. Honestly the photos don’t do it justice. Stunning, we would stay again if we returned to Ischia.

nothing. everything was immaculate

oasis with large swimming pool on an island which is tightly packed with very narrow streets. there’s also a volcanic warm water shower next to pool which provides a great therapeutic massage. no need to pay for a spa experience elsewhere. the large grounds were well maintained with a fabulous garden. the interior and exterior design was true Mediterranean Villa style. the Host Constantin was extremely helpful and provided a 6 star service with extreme attention to every detail. we had the pool junior suite which was set as a private retreat. Great ocean outlook with a deck overlooking the ocean sunset for romantic evening cocktails. it was so relaxing we only went out for dinner and some sightseeing. only two other rooms so it feels like your own private Villa experience. breakfast was excellent in open courtyard with multiple offerings for all tastes, food was of the best quality and fresh coffee made with a personal touch. even provided a breakfast picnic when we had to leave early. The service was simply faultless. definitely value and service well above our expectations.

No tea/ coffee facilities in the room . Some kind of lunch option , even just an antipasto board to pre order ( we had a 6am flight & we’re tired & hungry on arrival ) would have been much appreciated and one day we spent all day at the villa due to bad weather so good in the day would have been good . The bed was very firm & not sure our backs could have stood another night. A topper would be an option . The water wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the lovely bath. Ice in bedroom & a more extensive mini bar or room service would have been good. Just some fine tuning to be absolute perfection

The suite was huge . The decor & gardens are beautiful . The view is lovely & it’s a great spot to watch the sun set. Its a very peaceful, relaxing property. The staff are very attentive without being intrusive.

Remember to bring some sort of transportation (car or scooter). It is a bit annoying to have to keep using the busses. The place could offer e-bikes etc for rental/free use. Due to the size of the place, they do not offer food etc (but they will help you in ordering food delivered to the place). They do order some drinks, but it is not really clear what is offered. That is a bit of a shame, as you really only want to stay at the house and relax and enjoy your vacation. It is really a nice establishment.

Some big insects and wasps flying around the pool area. Konstantin explained that they were coming there to drink and that they aren’t dangerous but the wasps were big and spoiled the otherwise fantastic pool a little bit for us.

The hotel is situated on a small hill with stunning views of the coast and watching the sunset over Forio from the terrace is an absolute highlight. The villa is very small and has only three guest rooms but thanks to the large garden (with a beautiful pool) and multiple areas it spreads out easily and it’s wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The service was great, very friendly and helpful. Konstantin helped us organise a very convenient car rental at a great price and always helped out with sightseeing recommendations and other things. On arrival we were upgraded to the nicest room as someone had cancelled on short notice which we really appreciated since the sea view is definitely worth paying for. Wonderful breakfast, fast wifi and good AC in the room.

We loved the beautiful gardens and the amazing views. The location was good just outside of Forio. Konstantin was super helpful taking us to and from the ferry and arranging for us to hire a scooter to get around. Was really nice having breakfast outside every morning. We appreciated all the bottled water that was provided. The room was huge and kept very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely recommend!

The property is just gorgeous. it is very spacious with beautiful garden and terrace. The property is well located so you can see the coast and sea, and at the same time very quite. If you're seeking for a calm, relaxing and peaceful address, it's the place to stay. The villa is amazing, the view and the sunsets are mesmerizing and the staff makes you feel home. The room and shared spaces are very clean and comfy, the swimming pool is great. The villa is very well located, near almost all the best beaches of the island and it's only 5 min drive from Forio.

The view from the villa was magnificent, but the location was unfortunately not very great since it was quite hard to walk down to the beach/restaurants considering the very smal roads (and the villa is located up on a hill), we had to take a cab back and fourth and it was pretty expensive - although it only was a 5-10 minutes car ride. Next tips: rent a scooter or similar! :)

Everything was amazing.

+ Great hospitality of the manager (Konstantin) and the rest of the staff. They were super accommodating, welcomed us with drinks and snacks, and helped with so many things, from renting a car to booking a restaurant, lots of recommendations of what to see, where to go, a map of the island, and even providing me with ointment for my back injury. + Amazing breakfast with a view, with a great variety of choice, both savory and sweet. Fresh orange juice, tasty coffee & lots of fruit. One of the best breakfast experiences I have ever had. + Complimentary pickup from, and transfer back to the ferry. A very welcomed touch. + Amazing property with a beautiful garden, breathtaking views and only 3 rooms. We had the swimming pool all to ourselves. Very relaxed & quiet. For those who are annoyed by hotel crowds and want space to unwind. + A spacious, very well equipped apartment with a big & very comfortable bed. A huge closet, two showers, well-lit bathroom, garden furniture, and direct access to the pool. Simply amazing. 10/10.
