The hotel is in the heavy duty industrial/dock area---it was not in the center of town. My wife refused to stay there and so did I.--- it was our 50th wedding anniversary and not the place for a romantic celebration! It was on a low level marina--more of a place for people with small boats to stay. It was deep in the dock area-- No cabs and very few non- working type people around--- very few people around at all--had to go through a locked gate to gain entry. It was also in the flight and landing path of an airport--big roaring when the planes took off and landed. It was totally bare bones. Both the gentleman we booked with on Booking.com and the hotel itself assured us when we booked that it was centrally located--we even called and requested warer view--=- they gave us parking lot view--an empty parking lot. The key didn't work --you literally had to pound the door open with your shoulder---the "air conditioning was non-existent. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and the entire place had a fishy odor---even though we had requested non-smoking. The internet was sketchy at best. Didn't appear to have a restaurant or bar. The place was clean enough but needed some maintenance. Booking and the hotel totally resisted giving us a refund ---it was a struggle to get our problem understood or even rectified with the agents from Booking who, obviously, were located in India---they really didn't care--they had secured our money and could care less about getting us to where we would be happy. Our advice is book directly with the hotel. And avoid Marina Place.

Location was horrible. You need to pass next to industrial area and cargo terminals to get there (at least gps recognized only that route), when you come close to marina it smells on sewage. Marina is hideous, very under-maintained, no nice retails, just two restaurants that were not impressive.

Rooms are very clean, however furniture is old and overused, ready for some upholstery works.

Staff at reception was so welcoming, thanks a million for that! Room was amazing with a view on the boats. Definitely a nice hotel to stay at, close to Genova (but, NOT in the City Center).

Wow, the balcony and view. Definitely pay extra for the room with a balcony and sea view, it's worth every penny. Gorgeous room, amazing bathroom and shower. But the balcony was something else. If you can, book room 10 because the balcony was HUGE, about the same size as the room. When driving to the hotel, it looks like an awful building site, but persevere, because the hotel is amazing. Lovely breakfast. Also we ate at Rossopodomoro, 10 metres from the hotel, great pizzas, great tables outside looking at the sea and reasonable prices.

Hotel so nice, room modern design big and clean, breakfast so good and there is a room you can serve yourself a drink at any time for free. Receptionist friendly and very helpful. Hotel a bit far 20 mins in the car far from train stations which is like 20€ taxi, but few minutes to the airport. But you cant go walking.

Nothing--it was great!

Gorgeous hotel, right on the Genova marina. Very close to airport but very quiet in the rooms. Comfy beds and gorgeous remodeled bathroom with lots of amenities. Best part was eating breakfast outside in the shade, looking at the marina and the town of Genova. Staff was very helpful and called us a taxi to the airport on our departure. Will definitely stay here again!

Air conditioning unit doesn't work independently as there's one thermostat for the whole hotel. Useless and the room gets pretty warm in the summer. We got offered a clunky fan with broken legs and mold on its blades to help with airflow, not great. Rooms on the side of the marina are nice, on the side of the airport are pretty ugly - I didn't realise that when booking. Overall a negative experience - I've stayed in a random 3-stars by a highway one night whilst on transit recently and even that was far superior to this place, and cost exactly half the money. Look elsewhere or make sure you're booking a marina-side room when booking (but I'd still avoid it in the summer given the AC issues).

Location is good if going by car and needing easy access to the highway, not otherwise. Breakfast was better than I expected considering the rest of our stay, albeit it's a standard continental one. Lady at the reception was trying to be helpful but really had too tall a hurdle to clear to make our stay passable.

From the beginning, the elevator did not functioned throughout the time there. The weather was kind of chill (10 C during night), but the air conditioning was not operational. We were given a cheap electric heater but besides being insufficient, was also dangerous to use long time, so room was unconfortably cold. Furniture had better days some 10 years ago, walls cracked... Breakfast was "included", but was ridiculously poor, even at 09:30 "sorry, salad finished, try tomorrow to come earlier", we waited 20 min to get a table (5 tables for so many rooms), and the omelett or fried eggs you need to buy (4Euros one egg). IN FACT, WE CHECKED OUT NEXT DAY AND WENT TO OTHER HOTEL IN GENOA CENTER.

It has good view over the little marina as long as you have that type of room, if you disregard the fact that the airport stripe is literally meters from your window, and that you definitely need a car to get to the city (no actual restaurant choice, practically nothing to do around the hotel), location is acceptable.
