Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe location is an older section of town with narrow busy streets that made for challenging driving. The facilities and furnishings were very clean but dated.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room, towels, and linens were immaculately clean and the linens were fresh, very clean, and ironed. The capuchino at the snack bar was outstanding and the barista was kind. We did not have the buffet breakfast so cannot rate it.

SwitzerlandThe noise isolation is just bad. The problems don't come from the street noises but from the building itself. It's an old building, meaning you will hear doors slamming and loud chit chats from your neighbors' room. The staff (very very friendly) tried their best to accommodate our needs and listened to our complaints but there is not much they can do, unfortunately. Also, lack of common sense from the other guests doesn't help (you don't need to be a genius to not let your door slam late in the night/early in the morning). Unfortunately, this is simply not the type of hotel where you can just take it easy in the morning, you will hear movements from 7am on, or at least, that was the case for us in two different rooms. Other people might be less affected by it depending on your sensibility to noise during your sleep. All in all, it is not a cheap hotel and we did not feel it was worth the money given our experience.
