How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The shower wasn't so high, it was ok for me (1.9 meters tall), but I believe it could be a problem for someone around 2 meters tall. There are some steps in the bedroom that could be a problem for someone with decreased mobility
The hotel is well located, near Piazza Navona. You can get to the Vatican and Coliseum with a 30 minute walk. Many other atractions are even nearer the hotel. There are some good restaurants nearby, as well some cafés and grocery stores

Friendly staff - who gave us an upgrade to a junior suite. Great location to walk to the main sites including the Vatican, Colosseum and Pantheon. The ability to leave our bags once we had checked out was great.

The shower rose needed either the spouts cleaned out or the rose replaced. It was difficult to shower without having the whole head completely soaked.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect with everything we wished to visit within walking distance. The breakfast was a great start to the day. The shower rose caused a minor inconvenience.

The street noise at night was horrible. It was either loud people partying into the morning or a jackhammer going at 10-11pm!!
The location was walking distance to everything we wanted to visit . The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well.

The breakfast room was far too small, and the cheap plastic chairs in there were not great. I understand it is hard to come up with extra new space, but that was definitely the weak point of the stay. (The breakfast buffet itself was great.)
The room was great (note for prospective guests, our room was in the special "side area", not in the main area.) The location was superb. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the cleaning was prompt and good.

We couldn't figure out how to use our bath tub. The showers were a bit awkward and got on the floor a bit at first. Room is more historic so careful with steps and balcony windows for kids.
Really cute historic villa style with cute little nature courtyard. Felt timeless. The staff was helpful and nice. They held our luggage one night when we took a day trip to Venice. Our room was adorable, so fun to stay in. Privacy and sound were all great. Room service for trash and towels was helpful. Wonderful central location to walk to Campo Di Fiori, Pizza Navona, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. A little farther but still walkable Coliseum and area. And Piazza Popolo! So much to see and explore. Gelato and pizza everywhere. Found Buddys' vegan restaurant for great salads and healthy food other than carbs. Hope to stay here again!

Walls are paper thin, we had a couple of hours of ppl next to us or above us that sounded like they were changing the room around, we dealt with that from 8.30-10.45, I had had enough by then and text reception, now to be fair they dealt with the matter immediately, once they spoke to whoever the noise stopped. And apologies were profusely made in the morning.
Ok room was compact but lovely! Very clean, bed comfortable etc, was not the room shown in picture on booking. Had more than enough room for us at at a small double. No complaints about the room.

We stayed in the Annex - just be aware that it isn't accessible for anyone with mobility problems - narrow, heavy door and steep stairs.
We stayed in a small double room - it was pleasantly roomy. Very clean. Staff were very happy to help.

Perfect location! Near absolutly everything, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and for the others, around 10 to 20 minutes walk! The room was very good and confortable, very good bed after a long day walking!

The breakfast was rather poor, with items not being replenished more than half an hour before the end of the sitting and it taking a long time to get coffee (you had to ask for it). This shouldn't detract from the quality of the hotel overall, however.
The hotel is well appointed, the bed was very comfortable and the location really is exceptional.
