How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Would have been nice if there was a bar/restaurant as it was quite a trek to the nearest ones. Kept us fit though!
Lovely big modern, clean rooms and lots of choice for breakfast. Very handy for the train and bus station. Very good value for money

Room décor very minimalist - white, with no relief or colour. Shortest walking route from station not signed nor on Google maps - involved a short flight of pedestrian steps. Not in the smartest part of town - though renovation in progress. 15 minute walk from rest of city.
Outstanding breakfast - quality and choice. Fruit freshly cut, and chilled. Cheeses individually labelled, as were the meats. Room spotless and everything worked perfectly. Short walk from station. Advance on-line check-in option.

There was nothing not to like.
The hotel was modern and very clean. The staff were helpful and the reception staff made every effort to answer all our questions concerning local travel matters and even helped us to pay the Venice tourist tax online.

The floor in one of our rooms was kind of slippery - not sure if they used some sort of cleaning product that was left behind. The drain on the sink was partially clogged. Breakfast was very crowded, with lines forming.
The hotel seems to be expanding to a new, neighboring building. It's larger and there are new rooms. We booked two rooms and got a newer and an older room on different floors. The newer room was brand new, and very comfortable. The hotel is very close to Verona Mestre Rail Station and walking distance to two big supermarkets. Nice breakfast.

Like it all.
Great location, just near the station and quieter. The staff were super helpful, the breakfast was great , clean rooms and very comfortable beds and they had bikes for guests to use free of charge, so we could cycle into the centre. Great value for money. Would go back.

There were two beds pushed together which resulted in poor night's sleep. Other than that everything else was great
The room was great. Breakfast was what we expected. Staff very friendly. Did more for us than expected. Location is great for public transport

Very good location, clean rooms with equipment (toothbrush, toothpaste etc). The beds are very comfortable and there is a nice view. The staff was very helpful and polite. Check in and check out were quick and smooth.

I had no complaints. When the blind in my room didn’t work I was moved to another room.
Breakfast was very good and freshly made. Excellent choices very helpful staff. Reception staff always helpful with transport advice and information.

Nothing - everything was great
I stayed at Novo Hotel Rossi for 4 nights and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location of the hotel is perfect - it is a short walk away from the Verona Porta Nuova train station which makes it an excellent base for day trips to Milan, Trento/Bolzano or Lake Garda. The hotel is also located around 20 minutes' walk away from the city centre, however there are also plenty of bus stops right outside of the train station where you can catch a bus to take you into the city. The breakfast was enjoyable with a reasonable selection of breakfast items. I absolutely loved the room which felt cosy but also minimalistic and decorated in neutral colours which meant the room was great to relax in after a long day of sightseeing and walking. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are planning to use Verona as your base to explore other cities/areas. I would definitely stay here again.
