Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThink it was a bit early in the season as not many options for food were available that suited our kids so had to walk into town everytime for meals. Went to get sun beds on beach and told we had to rent as only b&b which was fine but told we had to go to reception to pay which was a 15 minute uphill walk away - not possible with young kids so we just sat on our towels instead which was fine.
Nice hotel, lovely big pool, friendly staff, good breakfast.

CanadaOn Saturday night they had blaring music in the lobby which sounded like sleeping beside a night club which went on well past 12pm. It was so hard to sleep. Also odd that there was no room phone to call the lobby to ask for extra towels. I found it odd we had to pay for parking and the parking gates didn’t work well, I had to keep running from my car to the lobby to tell them to open the gates, no one explained how to line my car tires up. The lighting from the beach to the hotel were not light up so wasn’t great especially since there are stairs. Also I find it silly that the pool is closed from 1-3 in a tourist hotel.
I liked that the beach boardwalk led to the restaurants in the main area! Was very convenient.

NetherlandsThere was no kettle or coffee machine in the apartment. Opening hours of the swimming pools were limited, couldn't go for a swim early or late in the day. Since it's a large resort, the buffet restaurant is also large and therefore a bit chaotic and noisy.
We got a room in the Exclusive area of the resort, with its own swimming pool, which was amazing. The room was huge. We didn't book a rate that includes dinner, but could still decide in the morning to have it at the resort (25 euro for adults, 15 euro for kids, including drinks). From the resort there was a great view on the coastline. A few minutes walk from the resort (at the parking of the beach) there are electric car chargers.

United KingdomAS WE SAY ABOVE WE STAYED IN MANY HOTELS ON THIS TRIP AND WHILST THIS ONE WAS UP THERE FOR FACILITIES THERE IS SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU FEEL THE PLACE IS RUN FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE STAFF AND NOT THE GUESTS. THE UNFRIENDLY BREAKFAST WOMAN MAKES YOU FEEL UNWELCOME AND IF YOU ASK FOR ANYTHING THE REPLY (LIKE THE MANAGEMENT REPLY TO ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON THIS WEBSITE) IS UNHELPFUL AND DEFENSIVE. INSTEAD OF TRYING TO JUSTIFY EVERYTHING THEY REALLY SHOULD LISTEN TO WHAT THEIR GUESTS ARE ACTUALLY SAYING. BY THE WAY THE FUSS THEY MAKE ABOUT OBLIGATORY SWIMMING CAPS IS FOLLOWED UP BY ZERO ENFORCEMENT. WE WERE THE ONLY IDIOTS WEARING THEM IN THE WHOLE POOL,
WE TRAVELLED THE WHOLE ISLAND STAYING AT 10 HOTELS AND IN TERMS OF FACILITIES THIS IS RIGHT UP THERE. ONE OF THE NICEST ROOMS WE STAYED IN. WORTH PAYING THE LITTLE EXTRA FOR THE UPGRADE THAT GIVES A POOLSIDE ROOM, UPGRADERS ONLY BREAKFAST AREA AND UPGRADERS ONLY POOL. IF YOU DO NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH THEN THE BREAKFAST IS FINE AND HAS ALL THE USUAL COMPONENTS THE SCRAMBLED EGGS ETC WERE VERY COLD BUT NOT NICE ANYWAY SO GO CONTINENTAL! THE HOTEL COULD WELL TAKE A LESS IS MORE APPROACH AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY BUT IT IS ACCEPTABLE. THIS RESORT IS LIKE MOST HERE BUILT INTO THE MOUNTAIN SO THERE ARE A LOT OF STEPS TO GET DOWN TO (AND UP FROM) THE BEACH AND PROMENADE BOTH OF WHICH ARE VERY NICE ALTHOUGH THERE IS NOT MUCH IN TOWN. WE'D RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS REST IF YOU LIKE TO USE THE POOL AND PLAY TENNIS AND ARE REASONABLY FIT AND EASY GOING.

IrelandIt says free parking, but only for 10 cars. Possibly to drive into the hotel area and park for 8e a day. All entertainment in the Italian language, so make sure to pick up some Italian before you go 😉. There's a strange system for buying the drinks from the bar. We wanted to get some drink but because of complicated systems we didn't use. Why not just order and pay at the bar 🤔
Perfect location. Very close to the beach. The room size was good and cleaned every day. There's not much to choose from the breakfast, but it was okay. Definitely will come back for location and value.

ItalyFor us the evening entertainment until 12.30am some nights was too loud. If you like evening music by the pool then isn’t a problem.
We stayed in a nice apartment - clean, comfortable with large terrace. For us - the 2nd pool in il borgo part of the complex was very nice much quieter only adults away from the main pool. Pools and facilities very good I would say. Breakfast is ok A value for money stay and walking distance to the town 10-15 minutes

United KingdomVery steep steps down to the beach and to walk into town, lots of people stopping to catch a breath halfway up (and we are in our 30’s!). Parking is 8 euros a day which given the price of the hotel we felt was unfair and should have been included. Everything and everyone is Italian, which is wonderful, but if you are from England (or anywhere other than Italy) and hoping your kids will make friends around the pool I would say it’s unlikely. Coffee from the machines at breakfast, like everyone else has said, is absolutely dreadful, but there is a proper bar with real coffee next to the breakfast room which is great, and included for “Borgo” guests. Only two plug points (either side of the main bed) which was frustrating for the other 2 guests (we were in a group of 4).
We stayed in the “Borgo” area and so had use of a private pool in addition to the main one which great. The life guards are amazing and I felt my 7 year old was completely safe. Kids club and entertainment are amazing, but is only in Italian - so if you are from England like us you won’t be able to make use of it. Rooms are cleaned every day with beds made and fresh towels if you want them. There is a hut by the pool where you can book boat trips (highly recommended!) and if costs the same as the booths in town. Town is a 10 minute walk with lots of lovely restaurants (Banjo was our favourite!).
