Heard noises all night long, maybe doors closing near our room and someone knocking on the walls. Probably because we were next door to people that don't sleep? also the hair dryer was annoying in that you had to keep a button depressed with your hand or else the dryer didn't work. But those are minor details.

Loved the location, the size of the room and the amazing staff. the Breakfast was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and large! so close to walk to Portofino What a beautiful place! I would recommend to stay here!

the bathroom was very tiny. no conditioner or mini lotion available. the room that I had originally booked was mistakenly given to someone else. at the end they gave me back a credit for the room and free parking.

There's no real bar or public areas. We returned back to the hotel at 4.45pm and the beachside bar was closed and there was no other bar or lounge to get a beer or coffee. Disappointing. The restaurant area is low in the building, next to the road with no view. Room size was good but the bathroom was tiny.

Great location and easy walk into Portofino. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The greeting when we turned up with our car was excellent. Bags were dealt with and the car parked for us.

Hotel Piccolo is stunningly stylish in an understated, elegant, perhaps glamorous kind of way. The personnel are exceptionally attentive and continuously available to assist with enquiries and requests. I accessed Portofino by bus and tried to walk back from the bus station to the hotel - one of the customer service staff then picked me up and drove me to the hotel which made it easier for me. Another member of staff advised me of a short tranquil walk into the city centre so that I could explore Portofino and later, another served me a glass of wine and suggested I might enjoy it by the private beach whilst the sun set. My hotel room was beautiful with minimalistic white decor and a very comfortable bed, a good hot shower and an excellent large balcony with two reclining loungers and a spectacular view of the sea and sailing boats. I also enjoyed a delicious meal on the terrace of the hotel's restaurant where the waiters were equally friendly, kind and attentive with great suggestions on the menu and wine choices. The hotel also has a private beach with beautiful views where I enjoyed an afternoon swim.

Restaurant was really good except for the lack of gluten-free food and vegan-courses. The prices are in general a little to high with regards to the rooms and the property as a whole.

The location is superb, room was fine, view magnificent, both from the room and the restaurant, private beach good, breakfast was fine and the staff was excellent, really friendly and helpful. Food was good and staff knowledgeable about both food and wine. Service at the beach was good.

The indoor restaurant was a little dated in the decor but great service and convenience makes you over look this.

great location, large spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. There is one entrance from below and a better pedestrian walkway from above, around a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. Lovely private terrace and bar over a small pebble public beach, not busy even on cruise ship days and very quiet at night and in the morning. Great service and good breakfast buffet.

Unfortunately for us the hotel was full so I got about the worst room in the hotel without a view. Hotel is spread between several floors as can be expected given its location on a cliff edge.

Fantastic location, only 5 minutes away from Portofino centre and 10 from Paraggi beach, with friendly and dedicated staff. This property has so much to offer, from a cozy beach with loungers to tasty restaurants, that you barely need to leave the premises!

our room was grubby, the decoration was appalling and the wall had damp patches on it. the bathroom was grubby and quite unpleasant. the lighting was full and so dated. our room faced a wall which did not allow any brightness in the room. our room definitely needs a total upgrade. the common areas also need sprucing up, maybe black and red looked smart many years ago but it now looks dark and tired and again outdated.

Bathroom was very compact, floor in the room seemed to be sticky might have been because it was made out of plastic, im not quite sure what it was. The restaurant staff could be a bit more attentive to people that walk in, guide them to a table and ask if they want tea, coffe or hot food rather than have us come up to ask for things. We had a room with a sea view which was beautiful, problem was it was also on the road, so lots of noise at night with cars, buses and bikes. No wifi for our stay.

Location was beautiful. The staff at the reception were really friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy, room was cool.

The hotel is very simple, lacks charm and attention to details. Very expensive for what it offers, although i am not sure if there is another good option in this range value.
