We had a good 1-night stopover at La Gustea Hotel on our way from Sicily to Milan. The hotel is very nice and clean and the hosts are such friendly and nice people, who gave us, and our dogs, a warm welcome upon arrival. The room is spacious, with a contemporary design and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony towards the castle is beautiful. The room comes with a nice and big bathroom. Location is good, only a short walk to the historical village centre. The hotel offers good and safe parking.

Good location for those who are travelling around Tuscany. Close to many towns and is easy to travel to 2/3 others towns in one day, and go back to the hotel. Good food (breakfast and dinner), nice room and Nadia is a great host.

The only little thing was that here at Booking it says the room has a balcony, which it did not. As the hotel seemed fully occupied, we did not bother Nadia with this. And it was ok for us.

The hotel is very charming, and the staff is extremely helpful and lovely. Incredibly, Mrs. Nadia, we loved how she communicated before and during our stay. We felt very welcome. The rooms and interior are friendly, the whole building smells excellent, the garden is beautiful, and the food is divine. We had dinner there that included the Fiorentina steak; I must admit, it was even better than in Florence. Breakfast was one of the best we ever had in Italy (and we have come here at least once a year during the past 12 years). Thanks for a wonderful stay, we stayed only one night, and next time we will spend a bit more time here.

Everything was wonderful! There was nothing I would have changed!

The property was convenient to everything we planned on doing. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Nadia is an excellent hostess and made us feel welcome and comfortable. We ate our dinners at the hotel and we were amazed at the offerings and delicious preparations. Breakfast was also wonderful and more food than we could possibly consume! I would highly recommend this property. And if our travels require us to be in the Sarteano area again, we would definitely stay at La Gustea Hotel and Cucina again! Simply Amazing!

A really small glitch.. Hair drier... I was hesitating to give feedback to the owner lady because we were fully satisfied with the hotel, however, I gave the feedback wishing the hotel can have continuous improvement to get a 10.0 rating This is a general experience not only to me but to most travelers, I recommend to all hotels to check if each hair drier is working properly when they make a room. Many places have the same problems with a hair drier.

Dinner was another unforgettable pleasant for us, Pizza with fluent toppings, Toscana Steak, and 2015 Brunelli de Montachhino was absolutely defeat us. 4. The owners are the most kind and available persons I could wish to meet. They made us feel very welcome and helped in any possible way. The dinner was amazing!!! And also the breakfast included in the rate. We will certainly stay again at the Gustea if we happen to be in Starteano again and we recommend it strongly.

Modern and clean rooms, very nice and friendly staff, tasty breakfasts, dinners just fantastic. Hotel with free parking spots, located near beautiful old town. Animal friendly. If you are looking for a hotel with swimming pool to spend a days, just go to Mallorca :) but if you would like to visit unforgettable surroundings of Tuscany, take La Gustea :) Definitely best recommendation and greetings for all hotel personnel.

The hotel promoted as a 4 stars hotel. In reality this is more a pension or hostel that a regular 4 stars hotel, like NH, Raddisson, Mercure or any other hotels all over the word. The owner was upset when noticed this fact. So if you want to stay in a pension you are on a right place👍
