Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandI wouldn't say I didn't like something, but for someone minus can be a small bathroom and not the cleanest walls
Really good stuff, they helped us to find the best route for our trip. One of the excellent locations. Based on average prices it was pretty good. Free breakfast with croissants and cappuccino. TV with the possibility to watch YouTube or Netflix

United StatesAmenities are limited due to size of hotel- only 7 rooms so staffing is limited. Concierge is there only in am unless someone is checking in. Shower is small.
Location is close to Vatican and in a safe area. Staff is helpful when there. Very walkable to various sites.

United StatesSmall shower. Not really a hotel in the traditional sense in that the "front desk" was rarely staffed. If leaving before 8 am no coffee available.
Quite location. Comfortable bed. Room was clean. A/C worked well.

Locations was awesome! Stepano was great! He gave us lots of great tips and info! He was also very kind to let us check-in earlier since the room was available. That was a big plus since we were all exhausted from the trip. Not only that, He also provided us with coffee , hot cocoa for my son, and croissant every morning:) We stayed at the triple room and it was large enough for me, my son and my husband.

SwedenReally nothing, possibly the cleaning of the bathroom wall behind the sink.
Good service! Stefano (the owner) was very friendly and serviceminded. They offered Italian breakfast in the price, it was very appricated and good. Good location with only 5-10 walk to the Vatican and central to everything. Will definitly come back to the same hotel when traveling to Rome!

United StatesRoom was small, even for a larger room at the hotel, but when you're staying in a small hotel in a historic district it was expected. Would have loved a coffee maker in the room, but there was a small coffee bar in the lobby and staff was happy to make coffee for us each morning and offered breakfast pastries.
Location was great, a short walk to many touristic locations, and felt very safe to walk at night. Very small boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff and owner. Would absolutely stay there again, and probably will.

CyprusThe only problem is that you can hear things from the room next door but ok they were quiet at night so we didn't have any problem
Small but Clean rooms , friendly and very helpful staff, 2 minutes walking from piazza Cavour and that means you can find a bus to go to all the main attractions(like 10-15 minutes with a bus) and also taxi to get to the airport. 2 minutes walking from Castle St Angelo and the river. Quiet neighbourhood and the building feels very safe since you have to pass 3 doors to get into the hotel.

Very pleasant stay, thanks to Stefano, our personable, considerate and intelligent hôtelier. Quiet location, away from the crowds, but still close to major tourist sites, including the Vatican and San Angelo castle. Our room facing the yard was very quiet but had a small window. Other rooms have larger windows. We had a very pleasant five nights stay. Very good value for money. Stefano prepares light breakfasts with exquisite cappuccinos.

All were perfect. The room was in perfect condition and very new. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, that make the sleep very sweet. After the so much walking in Rome, these beds are what you really need in order to wake up relaxed the next morning 😀. The location is very good. The hotel is very central and you can go EVERYWHERE by feet. We stayed 4 days in Rome and we never got a taxi or bus. The owner Stefano is so friendly, polite and helpful. He welcomed us so warm, he gave us map and explained to us how to go to the important places. He suggested restaurants, he helped us to book bus from and to the airport. He was there for us for everything we needed. Also, Stefano was providing every morning croissants, coffee and juices free of charge. This is a so kind gesture that we really appreciated. All were perfect, so I suggest you 100% to book this hotel. If I travel again Rome, I will book for sure this hotel. Stefano, thank you so much for this pleasant stay😀.

United KingdomStefano makes the hotel shine. He gave us plenty of recommendations and tips, and ordered our favourite croissants in for breakfast. We didn’t think breakfast was included so it was a lovely surprise. The hotel is in a great location, easy to get everywhere and is in a secure gated building. Would stay here again.

United StatesWhile the location was okay, it was not as close to Vatican City as I had thought. There's nothing in the immediate vicinity of the hotel--everything is at least a 5 minute walk away. Showers were very small.
The owner was so friendly and helpful--from the minute we arrived, we felt so welcome. The croissants, juice, and coffee/tea in the morning was a lovely touch and made our stay better. The rooms were well-appointed, with comfortable beds and modern furnishings in the living area.
