It’s a beautiful property tucked up in the hills with a stunning view of the sea and mountain. The grounds and pool are lovely and the room spacious, private and had everything we needed. The staff are exceptional and each one made you feel that nothing was a problem. They provide free shuttles to nearby towns and so you don’t need a car. The breakfasts were delicious and they provide lunch if you want it. There are 2 restaurants a few mins away . I highly recommend it, it’s a very beautiful gem with exceptional service.

The location is a bit remote, but there are several top tier restaurants in walking distance and a free shuttle from the hotel to popular spots.

This hotel is an oasis! The views are incredible, as is the staff. We were so comfortable and had an amazing time exploring island recommendations from the staff. We particularly loved hiking Mount Epomeo from the hotel.

The views are absolutely stunning, you can see amazing sunsets. The location is very peaceful. The staff is super friendy. Breakfast was delicious, you have a lot of options to choose from. We loved our stay here!

I found the bed too hard (but this is very much personal preference) and I wish the kitchen of my room had been better equipped. There was also some construction going on, and a day where a team was filming content for, I assume, social media, which I found distracting and uncomfortable. But those things are unlikely to be common to an experience there. It is the only reason I didn’t give my experience a 10. Also, it is more remote than I had assumed, so getting around proved challenging. But that says more about my lack of knowledge of ischia than it does the hotel.

Beautiful property with wonderful grounds: there is a gorgeous pool and sunbathing area, a nice little bar and breakfast room and my room was large and situated perfectly for relaxing. My room was very spacious and private. There were adorable cats wandering around. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating.

It’s a bit of a trek to the nearest towns (although the shuttle service makes it easy to get there during the day and early evening) so we were limited to only one local restaurant for dinner as it was the low season. It wasn’t a huge issue and the pay off were the amazing views which came from being up on a hill.

The hotel is beautiful with lovely views out to sea. In addition the staff are all very helpful and kind. Our room was really nice with a large balcony looking out to sea. The breakfast was also delicious. It’s a great hotel and we had a wonderful holiday.

A wonderful small retreat in the hills overlooking Forio. A truly 4 star personalised service from friendly staff. Very comfortable spacious rooms overlooking the sea and west facing for full enjoyment of the setting sun. The breakfasts were excellent and included some tasty local produce. A free shuttle service is provided to and from the port in Forio and to various attractions in the surrounding area, though it is also a pleasant walk to these places.

For an older traveler, the loft bedroom was comfortable but up steep stairs. This did not work well for esp given the bathroom is on ground level. Happily there is a sofa with pullout.

Utterly gorgeous grounds, hotel. Mindfully planned to serve all senses. Exquisite grounds with the scent or oranges, herbs, mountain sea. Wonderful bar, fresh delicious breakfast with views of the sea. Room was fully stocked including kitchen and fridge. Awesome patio Hourly shuttle service

This place is special- a beautiful location, excellent pool and surroundings, and fabulous staff. The breakfast was fulsome and beautifully prepared and presented. Although it is a couple of miles from Forio - up windy lanes into the hillside - this isn't a problem because the hotel's minibus service is so good and when not available late evening it's easy to get a taxi with their recommend firm. I wouldn't want to drive up the windy lanes myself - much better not to have a car.

Set high up of the hills of Ischia, Poggio Antico offers a breathtaking view of the coastline and its famous sunsets. The grounds are gorgeous, filled to the brim with olive and fruit trees. The rooms were immaculate, large and exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was delicious and every single member of the staff we encountered was accommodating, beyond courteous and extremely friendly. I hope to one day visit this hotel again.

We absolutely loved our stay - it exceeded all expectations on many levels. Francesco was always there to answer any questions, book restaurants or taxis and was so helpful with everything. There is a free shuttle that takes you to various places on that side of the island as the roads up to the hotel are particularly difficult (the drivers navigate it expertly)! The view from the hotel is unmatched and the rooms were perfect, we stayed in one with a balcony which gave the best views of the sunset. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer! We will definitely be back. Thank you to Francesco and the team!

The pillows and the cover could smell a little fresher, but nothing dramatic, maybe it was just bad luck for us.

Everything, from the spacious room, to the delicious breakfast in a beautiful surroundings, the breathtaking views from the pool and the perfect cappuccino :). It is such a quiet place to relax and has one of the best restaurants just 100m away (Restaurant Montecorvo). The entire place is very nicely decorated and you feel like on a small agriturismo, but with a boutique hotel touch. For us one of the best stays on our Amalfi and Ischia Trip.

It is a beautiful chic small hotel in a beautiful location. It has lovely gardens and pool to relax by. Bring halfway up a mountain moving around required carefully planning. However the hotel shuttle is very helpful with this. The staff are attentive, polite, courteous and care for you’re every need whatever the time of day. Our 2 day stay was too short to fully explore the island so begs another visit.

Thank you to Francesco and all of the wonderful staff! We loved Tenuta Del Poggio Antico - it is in the most beautiful location away from any stress! The views and the sunset were incredible. The room was super comfortable. The staff were super helpful and great with recommendations - the shuttle to get around is amazing (and free!) and Francesco kindly organised a scooter for us and made everything so easy for us. We didn't want to leave!

Everything about this place was breathtaking. Waking up every morning and seeing the sunset every night was dreamy. They also have three amazing local restaurants close by that were also amazing. The staff and everyone at the hotel we’re great people. Cannot wait to go back

Staff so welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Modern rooms but still with Italian charm. Peaceful and tranquil (only 10 rooms) and stunning views. Frequent free shuttle to surrounding areas. Huge bed and the balcony was enormous.
