I hadn’t realised that the hotel did not serve dinner when I booked. while there is an excellent shuttle bus service laid on during the day you have to get a taxi back if you want to go into Forio for dinner. There are three restaurants within a short walk they are all very similar old fashioned trattoria. One other thing that let it down was the transparent plastic screens around their breakfast room even though the weather was warm. If they feel it necessary to enclose the space they should really get glass put in as the view is spoiled by the distorted plastic.

Beautiful gardens and architecture and very personal friendly service. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room and the food was delicious. plenty of interesting places to visit within a short drive.

everything. the location with beautiful view, the room, the garden, the pool area but mostly the staff - the owners, the drivers, the cleaning and housekeeping staff. nice, fair and helpful. they helped us with ferry schedules (due to the storm in Ischia) and suggested great restaurants and activities for rainy/not rainy days! also they have a shuttle to Forio, and saint angelo that was great services. breakfast was fresh and tasty! thank you for the time in Ischia!

It is quite hard to fault. Maybe handing out mosquito repellent or having it available would be a nice touch as there is lots of greenery. Lunch was tasty but not amazing, maybe a few new options? but again, overall, this hotel is brilliant.

This trip was our second time at the hotel over many years and it did not disappoint. The views, facilities and staff are all great. The hotel doesn’t have many rooms so it never feels busy or crowded. Breakfast is lovely with a lot of variety. The staff are friendly and attentive without being robotic in any way. The pool is great and there are around three local restaurants, which are not spectacular but are still good. The hotel offers a shuttle to many places (will even pick you up from the port at Forio) free of charge. This is really needed up in the mountains. On that point, make sure you pack your mosquito spray if you tend to get bitten. Its a romantic spot and I would recommend trying to get a room upstairs with a balcony to really make the most of those views and sunsets.

Our stay at Poggio Antico was amazing and exceeded our already high expectations!! Francesco and the rest of the staff were unbelievably helpful with recommendations and organizing transportation to all our activities each day. The shuttle was a super convenient and amazing bonus to our stay. It is free and you are able to use it 3 times each day! Last shuttle is 8:30pm. The taxi services runs after that at night and Poggio organizes their personal taxi driver for you - Antonio! Antonio was also amazing! The grounds, the pool, the breakfast were all perfect. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

This was a relaxing oasis which was completely unexpected. We were welcomed by the lovely staff who were fantastic and went above and beyond to help us whenever we needed anything. The morning buffet breakfast was outstanding as were Francesco’s restaurants and itinerary tips! Rooms were exceptionally clean (cleaned daily), and the free shuttle service is a huge bonus!

Perfect perfect perfect! This was the best stay of our two month trip, and maybe ever. We LOVED our stay at Poggio Antico, it was totally dreamy from the minute we first stepped into the gorgeous gardens. From the incredibly beautiful pool area to the phenomenally generous and varied breakfast, the shuttle, the most comfortable sumptuous bed and the restaurant recommendations. The stars of the show are of course, the beautiful staff. They are so gorgeous and kind and polite and attentive and gentle and smiley. We loved them all! You can see how this brilliant family have worked to create a really special place. They really have thought of everything. Thank you is not enough!

There is nothing we didn’t love about the hotel but if you have a rental car I would not recommend the roads to the hotel unless you are very confident and experienced driving the very narrowest roads of Italy and your car is a smaller vehicle.

This is an exceptional boutique hotel situated well up the mountain with beautiful western views. Francesco and Alessandro are very pleasant and helpful. Marco does a great job running the dining room at breakfast and lunch. It is a very peaceful setting with restaurants close by. We stayed in their two newest rooms that, like everywhere else on the property, are subtly elegant and classy done in whites and off whites. The beds were very, very comfortable! This was our second trip to Ischia. Our first stay was at another nice boutique hotel near Ischia Porto but the western side is definitely the side to stay on for beautiful views and sunsets and near to Poseidon thermal spa. Be aware that the rods up to the hotel are, to say the least, very narrow. The hotel’s driver, Antonio, knows how to navigate them very well but the drive is not for the faint of heart. Should we ever return to Ischia Tenuta will be our go to place. Our group of four from Canada all highly recommend TDPA!!

It is slightly far away from the main centres of the island, but is is worth it for the quietness of the hotel itself.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, it is super quiet with great staff. The breakfast was delivious and there is a helpful shuttle around the island.

Wow!! We loved our 7 day stay so much we will book 10 days next year. A first class service boutique family run hotel with the most accomodating staff. Francesco was always on hand for suggestions and bookings, we had some wonderful experience because of his recommendations. Alessandro makes amazing drinks… which are easily enjoyed by the pool woth an amazing ocean view. Marco is a delight every morning in the breakfast room, most of the produce is grown on site. As per some of the other comments, the roads are tight but if you drive in Italy you will be fine. There are a few roads up to the hotel and the GPS seems to pick the tight one. Amazing shuttle service and Antonio is a private taxi always available after hours. Can’t wait to return.

incredible view. beautiful pool. lovely spot for breakfast. so happy we chose to stay here rather than down in the city. it was quiet and relaxing. they offered a shuttle service all day to many places. a taxi driver was available to go further away. a few incredible restaurants that you can walk to. the staff here was beyond helpful and kind! amazing stay.

We stopped in Ischia on our honeymoon in Italy. Our expectations were exceeded here! We were warmly greeted by Francesco who took the time to help us map out our entire stay in the area. He gave us amazing recommendations! We also enjoyed hanging out by the pool and having breakfasts every morning on the terrace. Absolutely recommend! We look forward to coming back one day!

shuttle could run a bit later to Forio an back during the night so would have enough time for a dinner. now have to Always take a taxi back to the accommodation. and it is really not possible to use public transport as accommodation is located high up on a hill.

Francesco, who is front of house, was a highlight for our stay. He was SO welcoming, friendly, helpful - he called all of the restaurants, beach clubs, and excursion days we were planning to go to in advance, and helped map out our day plan with TOP recommendations. We also cannot recommend Antonio enough, he is a taxi driver who works with the hotel, and was basically our personal chauffer for the entire trip! Not only is he a lovely man, but the fast and reliable service he provided us was faaaantastic. He was available at any time! Never more than a 15 min wait for him and he would pick us up anywhere on the island!! There is also a freeshuttle that runs v.frequently from the hotel to various places on the island, ports and towns etc.. Such wonderful staff, we didn't catch the man at breakfasts name, but he was super friendly and accomodating. It honestly couldnt have been a better experience, we felt extremely well looked after here! And the hotel itself is beautiful, clean, has a STUNNING view, a lovely pool, and a great breakfast selection too. Couldn't recommend this place more, we had THE BEST HOLIDAY HERE. And it wouldn't have been the same if we stayed elsewhere. It was FANTASTIC. Book here if you are thinking of staying in Ischia. Poggio Antico was the best place to stay, and we will be booking here again when we next visit Ischia! The level of care here is exceptional!
