Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe property is difficult to get to without a car. Public transportation comes to the nearby town and is cheap but there’s still quite a walk to the property with a slight incline if you have luggage. A taxi from Siena can cost about €45. If you’re looking at doing tours or cooking classes in the area, most are based or place their starting point in Siena. The entrance of the property can be confusing as there are multiple and it’s not well signed. Also, the owner hands you a bin access card when you arrive as you are expected to take your own rubbish to a nearby site in the town when you leave. The card must then be returned to the room before checking out. If you don’t have a car, this can be difficult and time consuming to achieve as you must walk into town and then back to the property. If you intend to cook at the property there are no common products like oil, pepper etc only sugar and salt. Also coffee or milk aren’t provided but there are mokapots to use if you buy your own ground coffee.
This property offers gorgeous views from every angle. Waking up to a vineyard view from the pool was a dream. It’s a great place to enjoy the best of tuscany. The poolside villa (which is basically a little pool house/cottage) makes for a cute countryside stay. The kitchen is enough to prepare your own meals. The lounge room area can be used for a second bedroom. The property is clean when you arrive and they provide bath and pool towels and extra blankets and pillows if needed. There are plenty of nice walks to take around the property and you’re encouraged to explore the surrounding grounds and take in the gorgeous views. The hosts are lovely, helpful and responsive if you have any questions, requests, or seek recommendations.

SerbiaNothing! it was all amazing
We had the best time staying with Francesca and her mum Liliana. They were amazing hosts. We were running a little late upon arrival but it was not an issue and Francesca met us and showed us around. The property is stunning! It is exactly what you would imagine or see in movies. The views are unreal and the pool area is also fantastic. We had a seating area just for us right outside our apartment as well, which was amazing to have. So peaceful any time of the day. The room was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Lots of fun places to explore as well, but you do need a car! There is a little village very close by, where you get coffee, food, and a Botega for supplies. The local restaurant was just out of this world, highly recommend it. And you should also do the cooking class, or at the very least have a dinner prepared by Liliana. Some of the best food I have ever had, and a lot of fun. Great evening, with lots of fun stories! They also make wine and olive oil which we had and it was yummy! The wifi in our apartment was great too! We had to do to some work and take some video calls as well and never had an issue. We will definitely be back! 1000/10! :)

RomaniaWe chose Tenuta di Corsano for a 6 nights stay as a remote working location and it exceeded our expectations. First of all, wifi is reliable(both from the room or near the swimming pool), amenities are excellent and the landscape breathtaking. We appreciated the hospitality of Francesca and her mother, Liliana who by the way is an excellent cook - dinner is a must try. I took some beautiful pictures at sunrise overlooking the hills nearby and we felt really spoiled in the 17th century building. It was so calm and quiet. Pictures from booking don’t do justice. This is a tuscan paradise. In the village there is a panificio (bakery), a small shop and also a restaurant, therefore we had options to eat nearby. As well Siena is 20 min drive. We also visited other Tuscany villages like San Gimignano, Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano, therefore Tenuta di Corsano can be a good base for day trips as well.

DenmarkOur first couple of nights was scorching, and the apartment we stayed at was generally quite hot. I guess a ceiling fan or some aircon ventilation could have fixed it, but also not a thing that I would come to expect in such an old antique building. Very much still worth it despite the heat.
Wonderful location in the beautiful outer areas of Siena. The landscape, the weather, and the hosts were fantastic - really great value for the money. Also, the pool area was amazing. Nice and big pool with an excellent view. Go watch the sunrise as well!

Netherlandsnothing major, we enjoyed it! only a very few of small things that would have made it absolutely perfect if we knew in advance: the mattress was bit too hard for our taste, so if you prefer softer ones, it may take some adjustment. also if you plan to cook - need to bring/buy some basics, like oil, spices or tea/coffee. only salt and sugar were there. when renting long term its totally understandable, but if coming just for a couple of nights, that may be unexpected. we came for 5 days and flying, we didnt have any of the basics with us and didnt really plan to buy, but eventually did. lastly the neighbors apartment during our stay was rented by the musicians who practice piano and violin daily. they play really nice and since we were out for the most of the day we didn’t mind a “concert” in the evenings :) but if you are not into classical music - that is worth checking in advance.
Its a fantastic location among vineyards and olive groves. Unbelievable view, peace and calm with perfect stargazing in the night. the apartment was very clean, spacious and had all necessary things and looked very authentic and homy. We enjoyed a wonderful evening learning to cook with Francesca and her Mother! it was a highlight of our trip. gladly would come back!

NetherlandsStaying at Tenuta di Corsano was a true highlight of our road trip across Italy. A wonderful location with breathtaking views of Tuscan hills, an authentic farm surrounded by endless vineyards, a place of charm and tranquility - and also a great base of operation for exploring Tuscany (Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano are all quite close). We truly enjoyed the cooking class with Liliana and the dinner with her and her daughter Francesca, who were both very friendly and kind, telling us stories from their lives and sharing even more culinary secrets. The whole experience was amazing and we ended up staying an extra night, just to enjoy more of the locally produced Chianti and watch one more unbelievable sunset. Absolutely recommended!
