Cleaner. Rooms just need updating but felt safe. Across from the beach and walkway. The area, in my opinion, is not a place to be at night by yourself. I don't know when there is more people around but be aware of your surroundings.

Manager was nice enough to let me stay another night even though they were closing for the winter. I was only there one day but it was centrally located and worked well. I didn't use the patio because it was cold but would have been nice in summer.

The room was very large compared to a normal hotel room. The bathroom was nice size and there were 2 sinks, one in the bathroom and one outside the bathroom which was convenient for getting ready in the morning.

Our room was directly above the outdoor pool and with views of the lake straight ahead. Too bad they just turned off the heat for the pool, that would have been amazing. Room was comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly. Unfortunately we left before we could get a bite of breakfast but the coffee we were able to brew in the room helped.

Breakfast was simple and all carbs, no boiled eggs!! Just bread,bread and more bread. Excellent coffee though.

One of the best laid out rooms we have ever stayed in!! Beds set up to look out sliding glass doors, great to lookout early in the morning. Bathrooms behind partition at head of bed, so seems out of the way. Staff was friendly. Coffee in the lobby during the day. Super to be on the lake, very relaxing just to sit there and take it all in.short walk down the hill on a paved road. Pool on site, cool and refreshing. Nice balcony to sit on.

The room was quite stark with no pictures on the wall, just a huge room with two beds and a few other furniture items along the wall...lots of wasted space, not cosy. The mattress was too soft and not particularly comfortable.

The staff was very nice and friendly, the continental breakfast was yummy, the view of the lake from our balcony was lovely.

Exceptional cleanliness, the room was spotless!! The view from the room was A++ and it was very QUIET. We enjoyed it more than a large chain hotel. The bed was comfortable, the balcony was perfect with a table and chairs and the continental breakfast was satisfying and well stocked. Would stay again!!

Walls were thin and you could hear a lot especially if you were on lower level.

We loved the friendly owners and staff, and the wonderful display at breakfast. It was very delicious 😋 and such a wide variety to choose from. All food was fresh and they had amazing hot coffee. Rooms and lobby were very impressively clean and cozy. Great view of the lake from the balcony (good picture place 😉 ) Lake loaded with bass which made fishing from the canoes/dock very fun and enjoyable. Quiet location away from the cluster of town but still close enough for your adventures. Very happy we found this little place to help us celebrate our 3rd anniversary. You don't wanna miss this!

I noticed my microwave was broken, but didn’t plan to use it anyway. The breakfast was marginal. I didn’t discover until checkout that there were watercraft available for guest use as the checkin staff never mentioned it. Without a good GPS, I’m not sure I would have found the property.

My room was spacious, great view of the pond(?) and on the end of a row, so very quiet. The bathroom was tiny and the window for it opened onto a public walkway which was a bit disconcerting. The mattress was fair, but the 4 pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever had! The deck was fabulous and the setting great. WiFi worked well on the deck- not as well in the room for zooming.

The only two improvements I'd suggest would be to check the mattresses for wear. Ours was a bit cavernous but it didn't really bother me, just my husband. And, the water pressure was really wimpy. But, I can understand the limitations of older plumbing.

Wow, what a deal! We stayed in several locations during our visit from Portland up to Bar Harbor including two nights in Boothbay. The owner was fabulous and extremely welcoming and you can tell she really cares and loves what she does! For an older place, it was really clean not only in the room but all the exterior areas as well. There wasn't even dirt or cobwebs on the stairs or railings. Everything is thoroughly cleaned!

Climbing the hill from the lake to the hotel was a little tough.
