Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThe accomodation is good located. The centre is easy to reach (by tram) or even by walk. The host Antonio is very kind and helpful. The room is very clean, the kitchen is well-equipped. We spent a lovely time there. Thank you again Antonio for a warm welcome and stay.

United KingdomAntonio was very friendly and helpful, and he was always available on WhatsApp for any questions. We would definitely be happy to stay there again. We were so close to Trastevere railway station that it was easy to get to Fiumicino from there. It was fun to watch the trains go by, yet we weren't bothered by noise at all because of the double glazing.

United StatesThe B&B is in a great location but navigating from the Trastevere train station was initially confusing. We needed a hint to walk down the stairs from the train plaza. How about a fresh roll/bread for breakfast in lieu of the packaged bread?
The tram provides very convenient access to the center of Rome.

United StatesNo complaints. May be too far from the major attractions or too quiet for some folks but that was exactly what we wanted.
We had a beautiful room with private bath that was spotlessly clean. Antonio was waiting for us on arrival to let us in and get us settled in. He was very helpful and friendly; even took time to show me how to use the stove and brewed an expresso for me using the Italian style pot. Breakfast was a selection of cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit and juices. We decided to stay with Antonio due to it being so close to the Roma Trastevere Rail station as we planned to take the train to the airport the next day. It was relatively easy to find even though the map on my phone refused to cooperate. (basically step out front of the the train station and walk to your left with the train station behind you. You can take a shortcut via stairs to get down to the street level where the B&B is located or go up and around the corner rolling your bags to avoid the stairs if your bags are heavy. The B&B is located on the third story of an apartment building. Yes, there is an elevator and better yet, it worked. Because of the locked gate for the apartment, it is very important to coordinate your arrival time with Antonio so he can ring you in and give you your keys so you can come and go after check in. It is also within walking distance of Rome's biggest Sunday flea market. I believe the closest Metro stop is Piramide (Blue/Line B), which is a bit of a walk but you can just take the train from Trastevere Rail station to Termini station and easily go anywhere in the city (or anywhere in the country for that matter), via train, Metro or bus The neighborhood is very quiet and while also very dark at night, appears to be very safe. While elevated train tracks were just across the street form our window, I didn't hear any street or train noise, BTY, it is an excellent location to stage for a follow on train trip to the airport (for a flight) or Rome's port city, Civitavecchia (for a cruise).

United StatesAntonio, the host, was very friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to give us tips on transportation and restaurant options and even helped us with the purchasing of train tickets. The place is not fancy but it is very practical. The kitchen has everything we needed. We love the apples in the fridge. Good value for the price. The location is not within walking distance to the city center, but it is close to the train station and other public transportation. It is safe and it is quiet at night when the trains stop running. It has an elevator going up. So no worry about big suitcases.

FranceThe only bad thing to say is that we did not find the housing right away (no sign) but antonio was here to help us :)
The hosts are very nice and available whenever we need them. They like to make sure that we are in the best condition. The bedding is very good and the facilities are modern. You can add a Chromecast to the TV. The geographical location means that we are not far from the main tourist places as the Pantheon, the Colosseum and other historical monuments. We recommend traveling by electric scooters and electric bikes, to avoid spending too much money on transport or have to walk in a leaden heat depending on the season.
