When absolutely everything was fully booked in Assisi on a holiday I wasn't aware of, suddenly a single room showed up here, it was perfect for me and there were two amazing terrasses where I could enjoy the lovely weather and the sunset with gorgeous view. The location was perfect, right in the city center. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great!

We loved everything about this hotel. Thanks to Rick Steves suggestion, we stayed here. The room was wonderful, the view was spectacular, and the many restaurants and shops we're just steps away.

This is such a lovely little hideaway right in the heart of Assisi. We couldn't have been more pleased with the staff, the facilities, and the wonderful breakfast. I would suggest going straight to the parking lot if you arriving any time other than early morning or the evening, since the road is steep and the tourists don't want to get out of the way. But the lot is not far and it is mostly downhill.

Booking the Hotel Umbra represented a bit of a splurge for us, but we are definitely glad that we decided to do it. The hotel’s value for money definitely exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent, just off the Piazza Centrale. Our room was sensational, spacious, well appointed and with a balcony that looked out on the broad valley below the town. The bed was firm and comfortable. The staff were invariably cheerful, helpful, and kind. Breakfast was tasty and generous. We cannot imagine a better hotel to stay in for a short visit to Assisi.

The staff and location were excellent. Hotel was attractive, quiet, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was satisfying with a selection of juices,cereals, eggs, meat, rolls, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit and wonderful pastries. The dining rooms were attractive and tables had tablecloths. Beautiful garden patio where it was nice to have coffee or tea in the afternoon. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend the hotel .

I can't speak highly enough of this Hotel. Our room was absolutely beautiful, the view was fantastic and it was a great size. The Hotel is down a very short alleyway from the main square in Assisi so right in the centre. Breakfasts were substantial and delicious. One of the added bonuses of this Hotel are the sitting areas both outside and inside. It is beautifully maintained and incredible value for money. I believe the owners may be several generations of a family and were always so friendly and efficient. We plan to travel to Assisi again in a couple of years and will most definitely be booking way ahead so that we can stay in this beautiful Hotel again.

Amazing little gem of a hotel. Perfect location. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff was beyond friendly and accommodating (Grazie Nadia for all your suggestions!) Breakfast was very good.. just what you needed to get your day started! Will definitely stay there again when I return to the magical town of Assisi!

I don't really want to say anything negative about this hotel or the staff as it was really excellent. I always stay there when I go to Assisi (at least once a year if not more)...and next time I go I will book there too.

The hotel is just off the piazza and an excellent location. I had a room with an amazing view of the plain, so I saw the sunrises and sunsets. Refrigerator with drinks, staff extra helpful and did everything they could to make my stay more than perfect.

The AC was okay but not great. But really, unless you are there in the peak of summer as we were, this property is very comfortable.

Location is perfect. The staff were so kind, pleasant, and welcoming. The rooms are very quaint and more than adequate. It's very quiet and peaceful here. The breakfast was AMAZING. Not quite an American breakfast, but they offer meats, eggs, pastry, coffee, fruit, yogurt, etc. More than enough. Would HIGHLY recommend.
