Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Rooms: We stayed Standard King Room. The room was huge, well decorated and elegant. The balcony was amazing with view of vineyards. The smell of flowers surround you, when you step out the balcony. Even shampoos and soaps are choosen in an elegant way in the room.At nights, the surrounding of the place is calm and no noice. Service: Uncomparable with other experiences. The owner/managers of the Villa were so nice, welcoming, helpful for everything. This makes the huge difference with other places I have tried before. We greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service.Heartfelt thanks to everyone who is in charge. Breakfast and lunch: You can eat at the place with their variety of wines Parking:Open parking in front of the hotel Swimming pool: We didn’t try due to the season. It is outside. Not for swimming but to chill with vineyard view.

FinlandThere is no fridge in the room, so no possibility to cool your drinks etc. (staff gave me an access to kitchen fridge), but this should be added on this price level. The bed was view comfy, but for 195cm tall, the bed-end was a bit of a problem. It is also good to know, that there is a restaurant at a hotel, but it is closed on Tuesdays (local habit to keep one day closed).
Good location with great view over the vineyards. Rooms were cozy and quite big. Nice balcony (though it was shared one opening for all rooms on the side). Very good breakfast (selection from list, served to table). Excellent location to visit e.g. Barbaresco village and enjoy local wines (less that 10min drive).

BelgiumUnfortunate I cannot list anything. If I'm forced to make a comment that I should say that taking breakfast inside during summer is very hard, because there is no airco in the breakfast room. Of course normally you have breakfast outside but with the insects this year it was not always that pleasant to sit outside.
Wonderful B&B. Good location, friendly people, great breakfast and possibility to have dinner. We informed upfront that my wife has a lactose and oil intolerance and got the answer "yes, that is not a problem". Frequently, when arriving we than find out that it is a problem. But not in this B&B. Everything was well prepared. Even there were lactose free croissants. Unbelievable !!

BelgiumThere is room for improvement for the quality of the beds. We visited the Tenutta Carretta, to which the hotel belongs to, it was beautiful and we liked the wines. We bought 2 boxes, but still had to pay for the visit and tasting, which was not the case in other cellars we visited, that was a pity.
Great stay to visit the region. Beautiful surroundings. Very kind personnel. Excellent restaurant and breakfast.

United KingdomDidn’t find the truffle dinner to be very good value - €52 for 2 courses, one which was fried egg with truffle on top. Appreciate this may be a local dish, and truffles are expensive, but had much better value of dish and truffle in Alba. It also didn’t equate to prices for rest of standard restaurant menu (of which some dishes also contained truffle!) Restaurant was closed one of the two nights we stayed. Wasn’t an issue as walked through the vineyards to go to local pizzeria pub, but did mean a steep incline walk back in the dark, so if don’t have a car be aware of this!! If don’t have a car may be limited in activities. Taxis are very expensive, as found out when tried to organise bakery visit, which would have involved a €130 taxi!!
incredible location, vineyards as far as eye can see! good comms by hotel manager arranged truffle hunting, very enjoyable experience! comfortable room good selection of wine use of balcony good shower fridge in room comfortable bed great pool area, with plenty of chairs decent breakfast amazing views from restaurant walking distance to nearby winery

AustraliaFairly average welcome with no information provided re the property facilities, breakfast time, wifi code or surrounding area - nothing but the key and here the room. Great to have aircon, but it was not very effective - we could not leave our door open instead as it was to a shared balcony.
lovely position with stunning views all around across the vineyards and beyond. Close to Alba and the village of Treiso. Good restaurant on site and plenty of nearby restaurant options as well. Nice pool area. Big spacious room and hugh newly renovated bathroom. Comfortable bed with good linen. Good breakfast with local produce.
