Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLocation! Leopardi is a lovely little town. The Villa is an easy 10 minute walk from the Leopardi station which is on the Circumvesuviana. Only a 45 minute ride from Naples and really convenient to Pompeii and Herculaneum. There are fruit stands, a grocery store, cafes, and a pizzeria all in about 5-10 minutes walk. Gelataria Minella is INCREDIBLE. Amazing views. Private balcony from our room and the shared balcony is large and well shared. The room was well equipped, easy to make breakfast and dinner in the room.

United KingdomThe shower was leaking.
Village vibe. Very inclusive. Nice outdoor area. The best sunset in the terrazza and sound of the birds completed everything. View of the Vesuvio. The rooster was lovely and the dog Daiana was the cutest.

SlovakiaThe only thing I didn't like is that in the evening there is not a close place to buy food/drinks so you have to think about it in advance and do the shopping earlier or in some other place.
I really liked the accommodation. It was clean, the room looked freshly painted, I didn't have big expectations since we were a group of students travelling with low budget but this was much better than I expected. For that price a very good deal.

United StatesThe shower drained very slowly, and you have to re-use your towels for 3 days! They said they would charge us extra if we wanted fresh towels everyday , then, no one came to bring fresh towels after the 3rd day. We had to use the same towels for 5 days
We loved the classic building, it was quiet and the view was spectacular. The grounds around the property were very peaceful and away from busy streets, but still close enough to walk to the main area for coffee

RussiaIt's entirely self-service, you have to navigate signs and arrows to locate your room. I forgot the name of the room I rented and couldn't find the name in the emails and booking.com website. Turns out the name of the room is Visuviana, the same as the hotel. As I was translating emails from Italian into English, I couldn't quickly decipher it.
Great view and unbeatable price. There's a beach nearby and also shops and reastorants in close proximity.

CanadaWould be nice to have a kettle or coffee maker. There was filth on one of the beds (maybe stucco from ceiling). Some noise from neighbors. Air conditioner was very drippy and took a while to figure out - it shut off in the night and was very hot.
Free parking was great, lots of space for our family of 6. Good signage to find from the road and to find rooms x . Church bells and rooster in the morning was really neat. Lots of towels were left for us. Very clean.

United KingdomThe laundry machine didn't work for us, and the instructions for it weren't very clear on how to use it.
The room was very clean and tidy. The out door facilities were fantastic and great for a lazy day. The sunset view from the balcony was spectacular. It was very easy to come and go and the hosts were lovely.

SloveniaThere was sadly no warm water in the shower (i was there in summer, so it was ok, no worries about the cold showers). Some other guests were extra loud in the night on thr hallway 10 pm and then 3.30 am. The walls are quite thin, so i heard all the noise.
I liked how spacious the room was. It had everything needed - also a fridge.

EstoniaThe bathroom needs a towel hanger and drain in the shower needs to be improved. The location is not great if you are travelling by train. Closer station Leopardi is run by EAV and for tourist was very difficult to understand where you can buy tickets and where to check the timetables. Official EAV website didn't work at the time. The other train station Santa Maria la Bruna is run by other company and there everything is okey. But you have to walk 15 minutes to the station, keep that in mind, when organising your trip. During midday it is very hot and with suitcase not so convenient.
We liked the view from the balcony. We shared the balcony with other room, but we didn't mind it as most of the times we were the only ones using it. The room itself was clean and tidy, we loved the air conditioner. WIFI worked well. Communication with the owner was smooth, if we had questions we got the answers through Whatsapp.

PolandWe only had one bed side table, so we had to use a chair instead. It was impossible to set the right temperature of the water while having a shower. It changed from hot to cold randomly no matter what time of the day it was. We only had a ceiling mounted showerhead, which didn't have high enough pressure. These are really minor issues though.
The place was spotless when we arrived. We had no issues with self check-in, everything went smoothly. There were enough kitchen utensils to prepare breakfast or dinner. It was really nice to have the moka pot to prepare coffee on the stove-top. The air conditioning was quiet and cooled the place as it should. The Villa is pretty close to Leopardi train station - 5 minute walk.

BelgiumEnough kitchenware but some extras like scissors and an extra pan and pot would have been nice. The bathroom is big enough and clean, but it gets very hot after even just a single shower, some kind of mechanical ventilation would be welcome. The area around the building is not really aimed at tourists, there are a few small restaurants and bars but for a proper night life experience you're better of getting something closer to Napels city centre or at thr Amalfi coast.
AC in every room, great bed and plenty of storage, even for a big group.

United Arab EmiratesA kettle should be provided for making coffee and tea. Shower door was broken. Property was a work in progress but will be excellent when 100% complete. Sun beds on terrace need replacing. Surrounding area in the town is scruffy and local beachfront is disappointing. Better to travel south down the coast for better, cleaner beaches and facilities.
Host was welcoming and gave good local advice. Location near to train station is good. Easy links to Napoli and Sorrento for very little cost. Nice large balcony with fantastic views of coastline and Mt Vesuvius. Good sized accommodation. Family facilities and playground available. Quiet location. Private car parking.
