I am really sorry for saying this. Firstly, I do not know the reason why it was not explained to us about the hotel and its facilities. Secondly, we checked in at five o'clock in the evening, and the room was not ready. We had to wait 20 minutes until the room was prepared. Thirdly, I do not know why there was no slipper in the room until I contacted the reception, and it was done. My insurance is after an hour, and the last thing that embarrassed me during breakfast. I was asked more than once about my reservation. Does it include breakfast or not, and this is something inappropriate in front of customers. To be honest, I expect this treatment to be possible because we are Jordanians.

Nothing to dislike!

We had an unexpected upgrade to a Royal Suite, complete with kitchen, dining room, living room, huge bedroom, private sauna and jacuzzi bath. Unfortunately we were there for less than 12 hours so couldn't use all the facilities! The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, especially Fawaz on reception and the staff in the sports bar.

As mentioned the room was tired and dated and in need of a refurb to bring it up to date. Only 1 3pin UK plug socket in the whole room and no USB sockets which is a must these days. The bathroom had a typical shallow and shor American bath only really useful as a shower tray. Again, as is typical in America, the hairdryer was in the bathroom (which meant monopolising the bathroom when using it) and it was the type where you have to hold the button in to use it. This was a challenge as I have carpal tunnel but clearly no thought had been given in design for anyone who might be disabled. The mattress while compfy was like a trampoline so each felt the other move. The bedside spot lights didn't stay on independently was the table lights so were a bit pointless. The room was quite dusty even after asking for it to be cleaned. These are niggles really but overtime could be wearing particularly the plug issue and hairdryer.

The room was, as like all Marriotts worldwide, now dated and tired. It was a good size and had all the normal facilities. The hotel was nicely decorated and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It was too cold to use the pool but the area was well maintained. We used a couple of the restaurants. The food was superb as was the service. The breakfast buffet was quite extensive though as with all hot food on a buffet, some of it was cold. This was made up for by being able to have the chef cook your choice of hot food.

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, especially Fawaz on reception and Asem the concierge. We had a room on the 12th floor with a lovely view of Amman. The breakfast was excellent, and there was a good choice of restaurants for dining in the evening. It was very easy to arrange day trips/private transport with the partner taxi company, a representative of which was always present at the hotel. The level of English of the drivers, however, sometimes made it difficult for us to do the trip exactly as we wanted.

We asked the consierge to help with some turistic planning but didn’t quite got the good understanding of travelling with 2 kids, and wanted us to arrange a weird plan changing hotels each night in Petra. He just helped booking a Hertz car which we could have done ourselves.

Standard hotel from Marriot. Located in the 8th circle (outter circle from all well connected with airport). Rooms are a little tight but comfortable as well as comfortable beds. Breakfast was good.

The aircon needed the room card to operate and there was quite a delay before it would work. I asked to change the time for my car back to the airport the next morning, and that message did not get passed on, so the car did not arrive. The situation was managed well by the helpful concierge though, by providing another car.

My stay was far too brief, one night without time for breakfast. Reception and check-in was very good despite the late hour (1am). The room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel arranged a Hertz car to meet me at the airport, which went well.
