We were sad we hadn't stayed longer!

Our whole experience here was so comfortable. The spaces were immaculately clean and well designed. The room felt spacious with space for luggage and to sit for a cup of tea in the room. The bed was great and we slept very well. The staff were so pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The amenities in the room were perfect; everything has been thought of. We also appreciated that we could return to a calmer street in the evening, but still be located a short walk from stations and dinner options.

One side of the bed was against the wall which made getting in and out difficult. No real wardrobe space to hang up clothes. Location isn't great, long walk to Shinsaibashi station.

This hotel was very conveniently located in a buzzy area with a lot of good food at night. Despite the bustle of Tokyo, the hotel was very quiet once inside and the complimentary tea service offered moments of pure zen. Really appreciated the quick check out service via tablet when we had to leave for the airport at 6am.

Their closest train station, Onarimon doesn't have the easiest access for a tourist who travels via Narita airport. We dragged a suitcase from Tokyo Station to Onarimon (about 10-15 min walk from Tokyo Station) which wasn't easy. We had to lift heavy suitcases on stairs at Onarimon Station. The station didn't have the escalator all the way :-( Luckily a stranger helped me carrying it. Next closest train station is Shinbashi. You can catch a cab from there if you want to take a train from Tokyo Station. We ended up calling a cab everyday to go to Shinbashi station.

Netflix etc doesn't work unless you get the firestick. Sometimes a little noisy.

Really nice tidy decent sized rooms and soothing atmosphere to building. Location close to local stations (about 30min walk from Tokyo station). Breakfast and lunch options downstairs and nearby. Teas during day. Good internet. Would be nice if there was an actual restaurant for dinners at attached Cafe/ restaurant but it closed each day by 5pm. Staff all friendly and seemed to understand English which was appreciated. Note: room doesn't initially come with chromecast or netflix etc but you can hire an Amazon fire stick from reception and sign in via that. If Netflix has error, we found hot spotting off phone helped. No smoking rooms.

Good concept for a hotel, nearby a couple of metro stations, direct train to haneda airport from station but a bit of a walk, quiet area

Location of the hotel was a bit further from metro or train lines that we often take. The Mita line, which this hotel is near, is not frequently used by us or most tourists. Hence expect to pull your luggage for a longer than the usual distance/time to get to and from the hotel.

Design of the room was very good and the space was well utilised. King-sized bed was comfortable.

Everything. The room was very good with water bottles and tea everyday. Clean room was fine everyday and was very comfortable to stay. Breakfast was the best ever with variety everyday and very good service. Absolutely come back for a future stay in Tokyo. It is available three main stations nearby, two of them are 10 minutes walking but it is fine and secure and the other one is a limited subway line but will take you to the Tokyo station.

The place is a bit far from the major train station, have to walk 15 minutes to get there with heavy luggage. a complimentary shuttle bus offering pick up and drop off would be great.

Beautiful, calming, relaxing - fairly central and easy access to a range of great areas, whilst being slightly out of the way itself - was so wonderful to end the chaotic days of exploration at a place with such beautiful interior design and tranquility Clearly marked vegan options at breakfast

The motion sensor lights for the coat storage would turn on as you went to use the bathroom. Potentially disturbing sleep for my partner.

The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The breakfast buffet was very delicious and relatively inexpensive. The room was exactly what we needed.

Loved this. It was fantastic to stay in Hotel 1899. Close by 2 train stations and near to lots of food options. Perfect for when you are staying for a longer period of time. We stayed for 6 nights and it felt like we where in a local suburb. It is a 10min walk from the train stations so be aware when carrying luggage. But we didn't mind at all.
