Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyNo table for 2 people anywhere in the hotel. We did ask at the rezeption if there is a table available anywhere in the hotel to play some cards in the evening but they said there are no tables :(

IndonesiaDuring our stay, the AC broke a few times, which made our rooms located on higher floor very hot.
The location is very convenient, close to Akihabara St. The rooms meet the standard alright.

IrelandThe window in the room could not be opened. Only a ventilation system was used. The staff at check-in reception spoke loudly to us about our room number three times in the lobby which is full of visitors, which is way too unprofessional in the hospitality industry.
Excellent location, right near public transport and the shopping area. Great buffet breakfast. The staff are super friendly and supportive when I would like to post my luggage there from Osaka.

BelgiumThe rooms felt too small and were too hot. Maybe the space could be exploited differently to make the guests more comfortable and feel less trapped between the walls. Whenever we entered our rooms, the temperature was around 24/25 Celsius. We turned A/C on but the room became too cold like 17/18 Celsius during the night so we had to turn it off and the room became too hot again.
The cleaning team did a very good job keeping our rooms clean and enjoyable everyday. The location was good as it allowed us to explore Akihabara and is close to the Station. The breakfast was enjoyable with a good amount of choices and a very kind staff.

GreeceNo room service, so make sure you either eat out or pack snacks from the nearby stores . Laundry is expensive, so make sure you either pack plenty of clothes or use the laundromat. Again, for a hotel that has so many foreign visitors, English should be more broadly used by the staff. God bless Google translate! The room was a double one, still, compared to the European standards, it was rather small. A had for instance a cable to charge my phone 3m long and I could literally go anywhere around the room with my phone in hand, still plugged in, so you can imagine the size. If I was with a second person, the room would feel even smaller and less comfy. But I guess that is typical here, so if you hook something similar, imagine a small single room in European standards so you can manage expectations.
Good location, right next to metro station and JR train lines station. That way you can go anywhere around Tokyo easily. Also extremely close to Electric city, so if you wish to look into shops with used appliances, anime collectibles, cards, books etc, it’s the ideal neighborhood. Also 7/11, Family Mart and other shops for snacks and necessities are very close by. Nice view from the windows of the room, there are also smokers room, which I consider it a big plus. Friendly staff, their knowledge of the English language may be very limited but they will do their best to help you with a lot of things, even book Shinkansen tickets if you don’t know how.

United KingdomThe hotel is sandwiched between tall buildings which means there was no decent view from our window - it was difficult to judge the weather as you could only just see the sky way above with difficulty.
The location was excellent as it was directly opposite Akihabara station which made journeys easy and convenient. It was also close to shops and restaurants and the general "buzz" of Akihabara. The room was pleasant and stylish and the air con was fitted into the wall and was easier to understand than others we had experienced - it was also a little quieter than many. The staff were very helpful and we left our luggage there at both ends of our stay.

United StatesThe only complaint was we felt the bed was a bit to stiff and was uncomfortable. We knew it was a tight fit with two adults and a toddler, so that didn't both us. Overall was just the quality/comfortability of the bed.
Rooms were adequate despite family size and service by all employees we dealt with was great. Location was great near a station and to the rest of Akihabara.
