Foremost, love the owner, Takako-San, we’ve had many great times. Love the location, close to Chinatown & right across from Dejima.

The only thing that could be better would be better facilities to make food.

This was the most comfortable hostel I've ever stayed in. It felt like a little home. Very quiet and cozy and Takako was very helpful.

Great loction, very very friendly owner which had a cup of tea with me in the evening and told me about history and sightseeing recommandations. Great area to start all of your tours in and around Nagasaki. Very cute common area with free tea and coffee and a fridge in case you like to store some staff.

There’s no elevator, so you have to carry luggage up several stairs. Also, there’s nowhere to cook.

The owner is lovely, and gave me great advice on where to go in town. Location of place is really central. There’s a nice common room where there’s free high quality coffee. Really recommend this place!

Check-in was smooth even though I arrived at 11:30am, they checked me in. On check-out day they allowed me to keep my bag in the common area until evening when it was time to take my bus. Everything about the stay was satisfactory.

Great guest house, very cosy and with a lovely common room with complimentary tea and coffee and views to Dejima. Next to Chinatown and also to excellent transport links to other places of interest in Nagasaki. Free towels, replaced daily, and toiletries are also a nice touch and if you need to do your laundry the washing machine takes bigger loads than the ones in other accomodations.Takako San, the owner, took really good care of me while I stayed there and also sorted Takkyubin for me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Everything was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the owner provided me with new towels each day without me asking. The location is great as well and you can see Dejima from the windows of the common room.

I liked everything! There was quite a few stairs up to the property so worth bearing in mind if you have heavy luggage or have mobility issues

Location was great, very warm atmosphere. I didn’t see the owner until the next morning but she was incredibly kind. I also liked how spacious the dorm felt. Generous amenities and had freshly ground coffee in the morning! I wish I was able to stay for longer

If no stairs is an issue for you. It’s located on the 4th floor but as I am a light packer I did not mind. Also, mixed shower and toilet for all guests.

Takako-san was so friendly. The rooms are huge, super comfy and clean. Hair drier in one shower and in the girls’ room as well. Location was near two or three tram stations—Dejima, Ohato, or Chinatown.

Almas Guest House is on the fourth floor (stairs only, no elevator), so if you have weak legs or a lot of luggage you might struggle. The toilet/shower is out in the hallway, I didn't mind that much, but you do have to put on your outside shoes again.

The room was very nice and clean, as was the shower and toilet. Check-in and check-out were very easy, the staff was very nice. The room and bed were bigger than expected and the bed was very soft. It was cold outside but the bedding was super warm, so even though I usually struggle to stay warm at night I was very comfortable!

Climbing 4 flights but only once or twice a day.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff and owner on hand, cheap laundry(dry on roof for free)amazing location near frrries and harbor, great supermarket in basement of You Me( across from ferry terminal, tram cars to peace park and other important locations is just a 5 minute walk, beds feel private with curtains, comfy beds. I wanted to extend my time in Nagasaki ( it’s that beautiful and cool city) highly walkable city center
