Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

SingaporeLocation can get quite noisy at night (even around 2-3am) and it is better to keep your window closed. Also, shower is slightly small - might be inconvenient for taller travelers.
Location of room is near to tourist locations like Kabukicho and Shin-Okubo, and is a short 10min walk away from Shinjuku station - good for doing your shopping. Is also close to Higashi-Shinjuku station which is convenient to go to Shibuya or transfer at other lines.

The staff were really friendly fly and helpful. They went out of there way to be kind and even gave me an umbrella the day I was leaving as it was raining outside.

United KingdomMost APA hotels we had stayed in over this trip had the bed on raised legs which offered extra storage for suitcases when you weren’t using them. For some reason we were unable to open the curtains as they were looped on a fixture to keep them closed.
Great location, near by convenience stores and a metro line. Staff were friendly and helpful.

SingaporeSiren noises at night. Aircond heater smells very strong of cigarette smoke; perhaps filter was not changed frequently. I had to sleep with the heating turned off to avoid the smell.
Room is clean and service is good. Close to train station. Parking is easily available. Rooms feel secure and are generally quiet. Water is instantly hot.

Hong KongMy only complaint was the room size. If you're staying as two people it may be hard to manage the room with two large suitcases and any shopping you may pick up. However, while it was a smaller room, it was still relatively comfortable. The hotel is close to a medical centre/hospital also so you'll hear sirens throughout the day/night but not too much.
The staff were extremely helpful at the hotel. I had an issue where my daughter threw up on her bed and it was dealt with immediately by transferring us to another room at no charge. I also asked for a later checkout on the morning of departure which they graciously allowed at a minimal cost.

AustraliaThe shower wasn’t very good! Only 2 places to put the shower head, and you couldn’t adjust the direction of the water. On the first night, I nearly flooded the bathroom, so I had to keep it on the lower holder and squat underneath it. There’s also sirens going off all through the night which were very loud, which I did eventually get use to.
Everything was easy, checking in and out. The reception was very nice. The room was great, although a little small, but that was to be expected. Very close to Shinjuku station (10min walk), and close to other stations. Also a beautiful park just around the corner.

AustraliaAsked for high floor and got put on 3rd floor for a 3 night stay (not just 1) -would have expected better attention to my request (but busy road outside sp maybe best not!). Edo line not the best depending where you are going/coming from. E01 final stop is actually 500m. separate from the main Shinjuku complex so bit of a walk in passageways. You need to plan your Subway exit if with bags as not always an upwards escalator, often only down. Elevator access but only at limited points. Bit cheap that in 3 days I only got one bottle of water, not daily, despite replacement of tea and coffee. Would likely not stay again due to location. Beware there are 3 APA hotels in this area, and APA is the only outward English signage (full name only in kanji)- I came back to wrong one to retrieve my bag and check in as a result!
The price was good for a three-night stay, much cheaper than the West side of Shinjuku. Room big enough
