Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe check-in process took a bit of time, I think because I was a foreign traveler who booked through a third-party site, but the staff was able to work through it and I had no other issues.
Stayed a second time at the end of my trip since it's such a convenient location to several train lines. I stored my bag at nearby Bakurocho station and explored the city for a few more hours before heading to Narita. The staff were professional and friendly, and the room was everything I needed. Check-out was a breeze, just had to drop the keycard at the machine in front of the elevators.

United StatesCheck-in took a little extra time I think because I was a foreign traveler who booked through a third party site, but the staff were able to work through it with no other issues. Also the fridge in my particular room froze everything, but was able to work with it.
The hotel is right next to the B4 exit from Higashi-Nihombashi station, plus you can connect underground to Bakuroyokoyama station and Bakurocho station (JR pass works here, 2 stops to Tokyo station), so getting around is very easy. The room was the perfect size for me as a solo traveler, very clean, and had a mini fridge & electric kettle. The staff were all friendly and check-out a breeze.

PhilippinesI was expecting for the room for it to be roomier, but I can't complain as everything was so clean and spotless, and every amenities worked perfectly.
The cleanliness and the location! It was perfect that the train station is just beside the hotel, and that there's a lot of shops, konbinis, drug store, coffee shop etc that were very near.

SingaporeThe bed is too soft, or rather I think it has lost its spring tension. Whenever I lies down the mattress tends to sink in at the middle position. Rather uncomfortable sleep for 8 nights in a row.
Good location with access to subway lines and JR railway. But it is in a quiet neighborhood with nothing much to do or see around the vicinity.

Malaysiapls pls pls have some garbage bin place at the lobby of hotel as it’s crazy carrying garbage only to the room bin for disposal. Another set back - was with a reception guy staff on duty fri night Dec 23, he kept saying no rooms for half day paid day use, when indeed there was and I managed to get and paid for half day use to cater for midnight flight thru another reception staff.
Require few days to get used to the tiny size of the room and bathroom. Would suggest single person in a double room, as there are no place for luggage for twin sharing, and hardly able to move about with 2 pax in a room. The hotel staff were very courteous and provided advise when heading to Haneda airport on the correct subway gate with elevator for us to push our luggage to the akasuka kiekyu platform without slugging the luggage down the zillion steps to platform. Selling point - the many options to station - from JR at Bakuroyokoyama station behind and asakusa keikyu line right at door step. Shout out the attached Pronto cafe staff - lady Emily whom greeted me with my regular latte take away cup during my daily breakfast. Keep up the cheerful smile lady Emily - kudos.. ! Will stay again, this time with 1 pax per room and not twin sharing.

IrelandChecking in process is a little uncomfortable given it's machine check in and a big barrier to the staff - pointless (and annoying) having to enter your address (when they can simply scan your ID card) - however, staff were helpful here; the one mean pillow was atrocious - so small on the otherwise biggish bed - big fluffy white comfortable pillow it sadly wasn't; also one mean tea sachet in the room - providing more, as well as coffee sachets, would be nice and more welcoming...
As usual, high standards from APA... I liked that the window opened (and incidentally 3 other APA hotels were visible from the window!), as this is rarely the case in Japanese hotels (fresh air and atmosphere..); there was a microwave on the 2nd floor (but maybe having more for such a big hotel would be a good idea); the 'open roof' feature in the (elevator) halls was unique - despite the rain on the night I stayed; the location is just steps from a metro station...
