How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Being in the center of Kabukicho, during the weekend it can be pretty noisy. Even if my room was at the 27th floor, I could still hear people partying during the night.
Location Is pretty good, with nice connection to many stations (JR and metro)

Couldnt get closer to all the excitement... there was a concert below my window multiple days, starting at 8am. Noise from the square and the street are so loud 24/7, they echo in the shower. Elevator was always packed and often had to wait 5+ min to go either up or down

Rooms are very tiny and there is no place to move around at all once you keep a suitcase inside. Also the beds are quite small which could be uncomfortable for tall people.
Location is in the buzzing Shinjiku district so easy to get Around and be in the centre of all the Action. We choose this hotel because the airport shuttle leaves from right below - which is very convenient at 6am in the morning!

Due to the design of the building--atrium style--the wind could be heard inside the room especially because of the weather when I was there (rainy and windy).
There were always staff in the lobby area to assist the needs of the guests and very prompt with their responses.

A bit difficult to make the room dark.

Bed is a little outdated. Hotel should replace old beds. Some front desk staff are not accommodating and not friendly.
Location is central. Room is clean. Housekeeping is helpful. Would stay there again .

Could be more breakfast options . Very limited breakfast options
Felt like the room was stuffed. But that’s what you get in the center of Tokyo. We couldn’t even open the windows. Heads-up, there are only hot air conditioners.

The room wasn't super clean (compared to other hotels we visited in Tokyo and the rest of Japan) and it was a bit too small for 2 people.
The location is great if you want to be in the middle of the nightlife of Shinjuku, the party never stops!

1. Still sound coming from outside after 2am 2. Lift wait for 2-3 round in morning 8am 3. no safe locker and to safe keep your item is handover to staff..
1. Hotel is 10 minute walking distance from Shinjuku station 2. at the central of Kabukicho and is so convenient. 3. Convenience store is just opposite the hotel 4. Newly built Kabukicho tower is just beside.

It is in a very lively area, so can get quite noisy at night time, and also busy. Rooms are very small, but expected from the pictures shown on the website.
Staff were very friendly. Location was right in the middle of all the action in Shinjuku, in the middle of the red light district. It's very lively at night. Near Shinjuku station (5min walk to the nearest station entrance) and plenty of restaurants and shops around.

Pillows could have been better, little bit of street noise in the early hours.

The whole place was too noisy during the night, room too small and crowded. If you know that you provide such a small room why you don’t refurnish it ? Who needs a full desk for writing, we are not in 19 s century and definitely not Hemingway , why not placing there a kind of luggage storage, I had to put the air cleaning machine on the outside hall to fit 2 persons with 2 luggages and still one of us had to stay in bed when the other was moving
Breakfast was fine with a lot of choices.. the hotel is easy accesible.

The room ac didn’t work. Only blew hot air and room temp air. Room was not cleaner. The refrigerator had previous guest opened bottle of drink in there.
