The elevator smells of smoke, and the toilet has a mild stench too. The TV volume is too soft/limited.

Though we paid for the "new wing", we were expecting rooms that were a bit nicer. Everything seemed "old" and the tub was chipped, the faucet fixtures worn and old.

the breakfast is not many food choice the grandma staff need to improve the service, always tidy the food/dishes, I still choose the food right now, cannot feel comfort And the price is expensive as the choice with environment.

The breakfast room is quite small for the size of the hotel, and i had to wait a while holding my tray until a kind family let me sit with them for the meal.

location is very good, next to the main train station and close to the sking facilities. I was lucky enough to find a single room so close to a holiday weekend, but it was a smoking room and i don;t smoke. Not a big problem, but a bit of a shame. Staff were very nice and welcoming.

Janitor trolleys blocking the already narrow hallways. Also, the shower knob seems more suited for DJs (it always reverts back to closed mode when I want to access a small stream of water).

The bathrooms smell bad and we didn't really like the way the tap works.

It's located close to the Karuizawa station. They have a system for keeping our luggage at reception before the official hotel check in time which was quite user friendly and efficient.

All good, but its really expensive for APA hotel chain, maybe because its peak season. Price 2 times more expensive compare to niko kanazawa 😳

The hotel is too strict and force to upgrade to double room when they see 2 person where the room i book is sufficient for 2 person to stay in a single room. Do not have any convenience store nearby the hotel. Only 1 restaurant nearby is open at night and dinner is either dine in hotel or walk to that BBQ restaurant. Suggest to have a convenience store for the traveler to purchase foods too instead of existing 2 drinking vending machine.

Forward baggage service seems lacking. Rather old-looking, some parts of the building.

The particular room that the hotel allocated to us was in the corner of the building, which looks very old and tired. Some wall paper was torn and not as clean as the usual APA standard. The disposable towels in the room were the old APA version. I suspect that this room has not been occupied by any guest for a long time. As I walk pass other rooms to the lift, they all looked clean and normal. But our room was pretty bad.

The hotel is right next to the train station and the Prince Shopping Center. Very convenient.
