Made res through bookings and they didnt send the code for keyless entry on time. I think this was bookings, not the host's error. When we called the hosts they were very quick to a Help us out.

So amazing to stay in hakone after everyone else departs. Location is amazing. Super clean, very comfortable.

The room cleanliness can be improved AC is pretty low on power and struggles to heat the place at cold night. Please note that lagguage storage at early arrival or late checkout has to be stored in lockers. It is an unmanned facility.

It wasn’t so clean. I found a lot of hair, dirt and stain so I had to clean again when we got in the room. Hair pins that someone left on the shampoo shelf were still there too. I didn’t feel like they took their time to clean the place.

Bathroom smelled like sulfur but it may be typical for the area, being near Ōwakudani.

Good communication with host, easy self check-in/out. I LOVE the location- close to transportation, within walking distance to sightseeing spots, eateries and convenience stores. Very cute place, enough space for our family and provided everything we needed except for washer/dryer. The adorable park up the stairwell was an unexpected bonus, my toddler especially loved it!

Cold air during winter still comes in through the window. Rubber around the window looks worn down. Portable heater not sufficient to keep the entire place warm during winter.

Strategically located. The view is great. Over looking lake Ashi. Nice eatery walking distance.

We are travelling in Japan with 2 adults and 4 children. This site is in an amazing location and very cool and funky apartment. We loved our stay and the accommodation and location of Hakone was a real highlight and loved by all the family. I would absolutely return to this accommodation again.

there is no bidet on the toilet, just in case you want to use one. the steps leading up to the room are quite small. the exhaust fan in the toilet was also a little dusty.

really close to hakone port (including the bus station), and very close to a lawson's convenience store and la terazza restaurant. the beds were comfy, including the sofa bed. it was a cold day when we were there and the heater was quite nice. the shower and toilets are clean.

Bathroom and closet were outdated; it would be better if at least the closet lid to be updated. We found the house was not clean: the cooker hood, kitchen cabinets, and even spider webs on the windows.

Location was superb. And the owner is generous, even allowing us to stow away our luggages while we were strolling along Hakone. The big window facing the lake was amazing; we was hoping to see mount Fuji in the next morning, however the weather was not friendly. Restaurants around the house were closed at 7pm; we managed to find some food in the retail shop nearby. Coffee machine is quite a nice surprise. I did mention that the owner was generous.

Still on the projector, it would be better if the instructions could be in English so that we can figure out on the setting. We attempted google translate on the screen but it didn't work out well. Later we managed to establish the connection from our phone through trial and error. We were happy to see the coffee machine in the apartment. Like the projector, the operating instructions was also in Japanese. Please make the English version available. Non-Japanese guests will be happy as they can enjoy their coffee.

This is the first time I came across an accommodation with a projector and screen. It facilitated our discussion on the next day's itinerary as we were on free and easy holiday. Everyone can focus on the screen instead of straining our eyes on each other's phone.

Something to be aware of, because of the style of the property there is not much natural light, so when it is described as a city view it would be more accurate to say no view at all. Also, everything in the area seems to be geared around the tourist circuit so as soon as the boats stop running around 5pm everything closes down, so you need to be prepared for an evening in when it’s raining.

Great location within the Hakone leisure circuit, well served by buses. Room was really good value and swallowed a family of six thanks to good design. Style “garage den turned AirBnB” may not suit some but we loved it. Good standard of interior fixtures and fittings blended with industrial feel.

The Location was perfect, just next to the lake and the view from the window was amazing. Lots of parking nearby and Pine forest just a walk away.

Poor repurposing of an existing building. The ceiling was not even painted or covered, showing bare construction material, cables and tubes. The water heater was terribly noisy and started making noises in the morning by itself. Poor light insulation (and NO light cover for one window). No washlet!!! The only place in japan without washlet, only a super old heated toilet seat. The stairs were also bare construction material. Cleaning was sub-par, with rusty kitchen burners and coffee stains. Finally, we even found a toenail on the floor clearly from a previous guest. Considering what we paid, we were not really happy. Maybe if 6 people sleep in the room it starts being decent value.

The location is quite good. In the superior (3rd floor, they only have 3 rooms) there is a wash and dry machine and a Nespresso capsule machine. Sofas are confy and the view is great (if sunny...). The beds in themselves were quite confortable.

It would have been helpful to know that we needed to get off the cruise ship at Motohakone-Ko instead of the other port. We didn’t realize there were two ports and we had to walk from Hakonemachi-Ko.
